The 18th Abduction

A really good book. It was hard for me to put it down. I’ve read most of the WMC series and I enjoyed this one the most. I got a few more books in the series to read so I might change my mind but they will have to be great as this one.

The 18th Abductionaudiobook Series Women’s Murder Club

The Women’s Murder Club books are always a good read. In my hurrying at the beginning by not paying close attention, I became a little confused by the fact that Lindsay’s daughter was never mentioned. Had to re-read a little to figure out that this book went back in time. Anyway, the story was a gripping one. I’d definitely recommend it.

Audiobook The 18th Abduction by James Patterson

I love the women’s murder club series. The main characters feel like old friends and though you know how they will behave and that they will solve the cases in question, the well researched characters and the current events timelines pull the reader into the action. The authors’ storytelling expertise is riveting. Though each book neatly ties together in the end, I am anxious to grab the next book in the series and follow my”friends” on their next exciting adventure. It may have a predictable outcome but the journey is unpredictable, exciting fun. Highly recommend!

Audio The 18th Abduction narrated by January LaVoy

Hard to put it down. Murderous men with impunity involved in kidnapping young beautiful women to abuse, torture and usually kill brutally. The killers evaded the police and FBI for weeks, which Lindsey, Conklin and Joe pursued til finally caught.

I admt that I was worried about this book, the 18th in the Murder Club series. Throughout the book, not a word about Joe and Lindsay’s baby daughter Julie. Then some way through the book I realised that it must be a sort of “flashback” writte as it were before the birth. That would explain the non-appearance of the baby. Pity the writers didn’t make that clearer for the reader though, especially those who have followed the whole series.
It seems to be a book of two halves to begin with, then it links together, I like the short chapters that he uses, because I can ratin my reading. I do not like to read for too long especially at night and this way suited the style of the story in this case.
Felt this one missed the Murder Club, we do not see much of the members apart from Claire, but no matter, it is a really good read, with a good ending. Not entirely unexpected but didn’t worry me I was sorry when it did end.
