Deacon King Kong
A fumbling old church deacon was called Sportcoat. It was September of 1969 when he shuffled into the Cause Houses project’s courtyard in South Brooklyn. He pulled a gun from his pocket and shot down the drug dealer of the project from point-blank range. This act was done by him in front of everybody there. The reasons for this act of violence and the consequences late could be found within this complete novel. No spoiler there.
The author did an awesome job in bringing to life all of those who were affected by this shooting. It first included the victim and then the Latinx and African American resident who was the real witness of the shooting as well. Other than them, the White Neighbors, the Five Ends Baptist Church members, the local cops assigned with this incident were also the witnesses.
