Journey Through the Underdark

I wanted to keep reading and I failed to realize that I had reached the end until the review page popped up. The journey through the underdark had me riveted as it was a different twist from the usual dungeon/labyrinth themed books. I REALLY hope that this turns into a long series of books!

I love that the MC isnt overpowered and just runs over everyone. Yes, he has strong powers that the author will have to be careful to balance out, but i believe this is a solid story. The only reason i am giving the story 3 stars and not 4 or 5, is a problem that kills a lot of authors, POOR GRAMMAR. At times this book is really hard to read due to the grammatical errors. It is bad enough that it prevents you from truly emursing yourself into well thought-out world that the author built.

Rather despicable society; interesting system of magic; well-developed characters; sensible plot-progression

Good story with likeable main character. A better editor should have been used, there were some fairly obvious instances of misspelled words and typos. Still a great read.

Enjoyable writing, engaging characters, and interesting magic system. Pace was a little slow in the middle, however worth persevering. Looking forward to the next book
