I love/loved this series. i say it this way because its a two sided opinion. Ive read this series from the beginning and I loved the characters and the world they live in…however..after all this time my one issue, which has been bothering me for the last few novels is how powerful they are. When it comes to reading about Tanya, Chris, Declan and Omega together it feels like going through any story is trivial with them because they, together are so much more powerful and better than whoever they are facing. The stories have no sense of balance or intrigue. They are smarter and stronger with so much at their disposal it seems a waste of time for anyone to face them. Even Declan now backed by Omega seems to be mor than anyone can deal with. I believe something should be done to bring more balance to this series.

Demon Divine audiobook in series The Demon Accords
I love this series. I read all the books again and again. But this was my least favorite of the series. There was no romance and i felt no emotion. I appreciate that the author is always trying out new ideas and i hope that he continues to to do so, but i hope he never does the demon accords series in 3rd person ever again. Every single time something was getting slightly interesting, the chapter would end and id be reading about another set of events that i forgot i even cared about. John conroe is an artist with 1st peron perspective and he should stick with it. Im sorry to say im disappointed with this latest novel. Also im pretty sure it even got a little political with the demon being female, but im not gonna touch on that subject with a 10 ft pole. In summary, the characters were there but they lacked the emotion that made feel invested in their relationships and various outcomes.

Demon Divine audiobook by John Conroe
Another great Demon Accords read. Spoiler alert.
This one starts with a demon on the loose in Burlington, Vt. A city that Declan O’Carroll happens to be going to school in. The demon has a mission. Kidnap Declan and transport him to the Summer Court on Faire. Of course only the demon knows what the mission is. The first thing is the death of a dentist and his employee in his run down office. The dentist happens to have Toni Valasquez , Chris Gordon and Tanya’s god daughter. One sure way to get Chris headed for Vt.
Tonya is headed for Paris where the Elder Senka, her grandmother, has come under attack. Separate Chris and Tanya?? Good tactic.
Stacia is coming from Maine with Holly and Devaney. Devaney is the police officer who was bitten when Stacia and Declan took out the rouge werewolves. He and Holly are now on Chris’s team. Though a young were Devaney is very capable as is Holly.
Declan is questioned by the police because he was parked outside the dentists office where the murders occurred and a neighbor tipped off the police. The dentist and his employee were in pieces and the police had never seen anything like it. Declan tells them he got a premonition that something was wrong. He parked in front of the office and never went in. What really happened was Nika had been in the office and left some hair DNA. Declan took care of it and told the police the premonition story. Detective Shultz knows Declan attends the Arcane college and knows he’s more than just a tall lanky kid. Declan also tells him that the demon hunter Chris Gordon is enroute.
Mack Sutton who is Declan’s best friend has met a beautiful woman. A woman he falls for big time. A woman who will turn him into a slave.
So begins one damned fine read.
This one has Chris, Sos, Nika, Stacia, Devaney, Holly, Declan, Mack, Jetta, Tanya, Senka, Nika, Lydia a demon called Lily, a demon who quickly finds that she’s bitten off more than she will ever be able to chew, lesser demons Lily controls, death, destruction, a battle royal, a Tanya in Paris who find out agents from Faire has set the seeds of discord among the coven and Declan and Chris doing their best to send the demon back to hell, survive and stay alive.
Five stars Glad to see Devaney made it into the stories. Glad he was able to make the change to a Werewolf. I Really liked that Deputy when he was in Maine with Stacia, Declan and the rouge Werewolves and a witch. Great story and I’m glad Devaney made it. As a Werewolf and a member of Chris’s team I’m sure we will see more of him.

Demon Divine audio narrated by James Patrick Cronin
This is part of a long series. Reading the earlier books (especially the short story anthologies) is not a requirement, but your understanding of minor characters and their relationships will suffer if you dont .
Sneak gets some quality screen time. Hosokawa, the Duelist, appears for a brief but meaningful moment. Fairies comes in to play near the end, with interesting results.
Darci has a solid part, but Aunt Ask remains offstage. Most of the action occurs in two places: Burlington, home of Arcane College; and Paris, though the city has little impact on the events there.
There wasnt a lot of character development, as most of the principles have firmly established roles. Nika does show a little more life and independence, but all within her previously known areas.
The continued growth of power was fun, as were the various battle scenes.
Some occasional typos, but not too many. At one point, Omega began referring to Father, but the transition left some temporary confusion as to who was speaking about what.
I will buy the next installment as soon as possible.

I have read all of the books in this series, and I am left thinking “who wrote this book?” Because it sure doesn’t read like any of its forerunners! How many times did the author have to say, ” Senka, the elder vampire, or “the boy witch instead of Declan, and “the vampire Lydia chapman”, or “natural born Tatiana Demidova. This far I to the series everyone knows who the main characters are. Since when did Conroe devolve into the completely superfluous descriptor used after each character says something. It is almost as if part of this story was written by Conroe, and the rest written by someone who was new to writing And new to this series. And then using “father said” when referring to conversations between Omega and Declan. Come on, this story was amateur writing at it’s worst. I am so disappointed in this enstallment!!!
