I’ve been waiting not so patiently for this final book in the Sinful Nights series and as I should have known, Lauren Blakely made it worth the wait!!

Michael Sloan is a man that has been in love with and has never forgotten his first love Annalise the French foreign exchange student he thought was his future when they were in high school together. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, life got in the way and went in directions neither of them ever expected. With the murder of Michael’s father, the life he had planned on with Annalise never came to fruition. And even though Michael never truly fell in love with anyone else. Annalise did which put just one more obstacle in their way.

Fast forward sixteen years when both of them are free and clear at least in the romance side of their lives. Although Annalise is still mourning the loss of her husband and Michael is still working to find the people involved with the murder of his father. When Annalise is going to be in Las Vegas for a job, she contacts Michael to see if they can get together. This sets us up for the most romantic and swoonworthy of the four books in my opinion. These two, even after all these years apart, have an undeniable draw towards each other. Although there is trepidation on Annalise’s part about finally seeing Michael after all these years….

“How do you just have a drink with someone you once thought you’d marry? Someone who was your everything? She’d been his rock; he’d been her hope.”

When Michael sees her for the first time, his heart is still so full of love for her and he’s hoping she can find her way to feeling the same way about him. What is definitely undeniable is their blasting off the charts sexual chemistry. They’re both adults now so the innocent love they had back in high school has been replaced with the kind of heat that can only be garnered with experience and the sexual desires of an adult…..

“Her heady moans, her breathy gasps, told him she was a woman consumed. He could smell her need, could feel it radiating off of her. She was a tuning fork, vibrating at the highest frequency of desire.”

As they spend more time together and they each fall deeper in love as the people they are today, they both want whatever they can get together. The problem is that Annalise lives in France, Michael in Las Vegas and there’s the issue of finding the evidence against the Royal Sinners and those involved with his father’s murder. It all seems to lead to dead ends…..until it doesn’t!!!

Mistakes are made by some key players, that have either been overlooked by the authorities or they were hiding their activities so well, it never occurred to anyone these people could be involved with something so heinous as the murder of another human being. And Annalise may have the key to some of this information. it seems like it’s more than fortuitous that Michael and Annalise have reconnected all these years later. While Michael knows how he feels about her, he doesn’t know if she has the same feelings but he does know that he doesn’t want to lose what he knows is his destiny….

As the book progresses and details are revealed, I literally sat on my couch with my mouth open not expecting to read what I was reading. The way Ms. Blakely has written this entire series, culminating with the capture of the person and/or persons involved with the events that changed everyone’s lives so many years ago is done brilliantly!!! It flows so well from present day to the past and back again creating the sense of urgency in me that I just kept saying one more chapter over and over again… I HAD to finish the book because I HAD to know how this all played out.

Can Michael and Annalise have the love and life they so richly deserve and want? How will all the secrets that have been kept for so many years affect everyone? Who is behind their father’s murder and do they get their comeuppance for destroying their family all those years ago?

All of this will be answered when you read this final chapter of the Sinful Nights series. And if you’re like me, you’ll have a serious book hangover when you turn that last page!!!

Lauren really knocked this series out of the park and this book is no exception. It’s a heart pounding story that will rock you to your core. You’ll laugh, cry, and fall head over heals in love with Michael Sloan. The passion that flows between Michael and Annalise radiates off the pages right through to the reader. There are several times I had to stop reading just to cool down my ereader and take a long cold shower. My heart breaks and then made whole right along with Michael.

The investigation will have you reeling when everything finally comes to light. Just when you think you know what will happen, be prepared to be left breathless.

The way Lauren concludes this series is tremendous and sinfully exquisite. This just might be my favorite Lauren Blakely series so far!

The loose ends of the murder/mystery about The Sloan familys father are tied up in this book. The is a lot of jumping back and forth through time which I imagine is very complicated for an author to be able to do. I personally am distracted by it when I am trying to get emotionally invested in the romance. Overall, though it was a very good story that ran through the 4 books.

But it was Michaels story I was waiting for. His gruff, protective facade was blown wide open when he had the chance to see the love of his life, Annalise, again. The intensity of Michaels feelings for her made the whole book for me. You might never have suspected Michael was the most intense and devoted of all the Sloan children. What he would do for her, his love for her and his deep desire for her simply took my breath away.

Those Sloanes have sex appeal In spades! Michael is officially my favorite. All this time this sexy aloof man who carried the weight of his family on his shoulders, was really hiding a man who lost his first love. Michael is passionate and driven in his work, his family and in search of closure after his father’s murder.
Rediscovering a lost love with Annalise was both romantic and hot as hell!! Michael, although afraid of losing love again, knows how to treat a lady, both in bed and out. Together they are wildly passionate and sweet.
Reliving the past; the stages of their past, brings them to an uncertain future. Not only do they have to be completely open to love and face their fears of loss, but deal with the fallout of his father’s murder. Will they get the chance at happiness? Will Ryan and Sophie? Brent and Shannon? Collin and Elle? Or will the past continue to haunt them and jeopardize that happiness?
I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the Sinful series, although I am sad it’s over.

Just loved Michael’s story. Seeing all the pieces slowly fall into place. The story of the amazing Sloan family all together and happy and everything they had all worked towards become reality. Such a well written and excellent series by Lauren Blakely. It will stay with me for a long time to come.
