Drizzt in this novel has become the Hunter. In this time, the bane hordes are still seen desolating the North. He is completely alone and cut off from all sides. He is now convinced fully that anything and everything that he ever values in his life has been destroyed. All that remains now is to kill only until no enemies are left. But, the issue is that there are plenty of enemies. Even the Hunter himself also a lone drows. Things were quite tough there obviously.
You will find this one packed with some excellent characters who are beautifully developed by the author. You will also see how good this story goes through right from the start till the end.
