Many Are the Dead (Raven’s Shadow #3.6) audiobook free

While I usually prefer novel length books I really enjoyed this novella and a return to the Raven\’s Shadow series. This is set in the far past of the series and gives a first glimpse at the great for in the main series. As with the regular series this short read has great characters and a plot that really keeps you interested. The only thing that could have made it better is if had been 300 pages longer.

A solid, compelling short story in the same style and quality as the main Raven\’s Shadow novels. Unlike many novellas or shorts set in popular fictional worlds, this isn\’t leftovers from the authors notes that didn\’t make the main novels, nor a series of inside references. It\’s cohesive, well-edited, and could have easily been novel-length. My only regret is that it isn\’t longer. Recommended for fans of the novels.

Audiobook Many Are the Dead (Raven’s Shadow #3.6) by Anthony Ryan

I greatly enjoyed this novella. The ravens shadow trilogy is one of my favorite high fantasy series’ I’ve ever read and this story fit very well into that series. I would have loved for it to be longer but the material that is in the book is very entertaining, not a single page drags on. If you enjoyed the ravens shadow trilogy, you will enjoy this short novella.

Audio Many Are the Dead (Raven’s Shadow #3.6) narrated by Steven Brand

The thing about novellas is that it\’s like eating dessert before dinner. In Ryan\’s latest tale, we see a Sollis stripped of what made him compelling when we first met him in the sixth order chapter house. That said, the combat was fast and furious, with the same overwhelming odds we\’ve come to expect from the author. It was a fun read full of action, but left me wanting more.

From the time before Vaelin, yet in his familiar world, brother Sollis leads a mission into Lonak country to face a demon which the reader knows well. Other characters of Ryan’s later history appear, and we read with a certain dread the coming doom. Ryan’s writing is, as always, at a high level – hardly a wasted word in this novella. Highly recommended.
