One man show changes shape when Jack Reacher gets back to his old team with which he used to work many years ago. Author Lee Child told us that Jack Reacher used to work in the military but he never told us about his elite eight-member team. No hint of the team could be found in Persuader and One Shot. Lee has intentionally kept many secrets about Jack Reacher to provide the audience with a different face of Jack Reacher in different parts. Although there is no way a person can contact Jack he receives a signal still which requests him to rejoin his team.

Frances Neagley was a close friend of Jack when he was in the army and now she calls him back because the one they used to serve in the past is dead. Frances not only called Reacher rather she assembled the whole team once again.
Rejoining the old members means bad news for the enemy because these elite warriors are not going to show mercy towards anyone who has committed a big crime. One noteworthy aspect of Jack’s personality here is that although he has reunited with his friends after a long while still he is not laughing or chatting much.
That’s why Dick Hill has always kept a serious tone of Jack because he is a real loner who does not get mixed with people very easily. He gives equal time to friends and foes after which he is back to his solo track, trying to lose himself in such a way that no one can reach him.
