Cocky Doc (Cocky Hero Club)

This was a really sweet story. I mean who doesn’t love a hot doctor, right?

Let’s talk about our characters. First, we have Megan. She works at the hospital as a Child Life Specialist, which works with the kids hospitalized to keep their spirits up. She has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheelchair, so she understands what these kids in the hospital are going through. She has a literal run-in with Dr. Drew Montgomery when he trips over her while he’s looking at his phone. Love blooms after he escorts her to the hospital gala, and from there it only gets better.

Drew Montgomery is the head of pediatric cardiology at the hospital. He’s tall, handsome, and the best at his job. He never thought he’d have the time, or the desire, for a committed relationship because of his hours and the high demands of his work. But, the more time he spends with Megan, the more the thought of a forever with her becomes possible.

While this is a sweet story, and Dr. Drew is beyond yummy, I felt a little empty reading it. There is no drama, no conflict, and never does Megan’s disability factor into the story line. Other than the constant reminder that she has challenges, or he needs to carry her from time to time, the story could have been the same had she not had a disability. The title didn’t really fit the story line either. Drew is the furthest thing from cocky I’ve ever read. Other than Megan joking she was going to call him Dr. Cocky (which had nothing to do with his attitude if you catch my drift), there’s nothing cocky about him.

I recommend this one if you’re in the market for a sweet love story.

I love everything about this book!! It is a refreshing, hopeful and uplifting love story about a passionate couple who tugged at my heart and made me smile.

Drew reminded me of Simon from British Bedmate in that he was kind, a dedicated doctor, honest, romantic and funny. He was thoughtful in every regard when it came to Megan and he made sure she was comfortable in her new surroundings. He anticipated her every need, and always made her feel like a princess when they went out. Drew was an exceptional man, doctor and friend, and nothing could stand in the way of his success as a surgeon and in his pursuit of his soul mate. Megan was strong, determined, motivated, upbeat and a godsend to her young patients. For a young woman, she was very mature and knew what she wanted out of life. I admired the way she never complained about Drews long hours and supported him in all of his decisions. Their meet cute was perfect, and created an instant connection that was witty and romantic. Drew and Megan complimented each other and they were surprised at how quickly their romance blossomed. Drew was able to offer Megan his love, his life and the ability to show her the world, which was something I think she really wanted.

I loved this book for so many reasons. The main characters Megan and Drew love children. Each one has found ways to help the children who are patients. Drew is their doctor who is brilliant. He goes beyond what is there to support everyone. He works hard is sexy as hell but forgets there is a life outside the walls. His family tries to remind him to find someone to love. In come Megan working at a new job to keep the patients spirits up. She is also beautiful and smart. She knows what the hospital feels like. She has been there before being in a wheelchair. Literally Drew fall in her lap when they first meet. It started there and continue they the whole story. They go slow becoming friends then more. They support and encourage each other with their dreams. Never once dose Megan see Drew for his fortune just him. Drew never sees the wheelchair as a disability just her beauty from the inside. This was one story that just makes you feel good. They find love in each other and love and support from family. I devoured this book. Drew is one amazing man and Megan is one amazing women. A beautiful couple together.

I absolutely adored this book! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! This book was one of those simple, sweet, perfectly imperfect romances that always make my emotions run crazy, make me so happy that I want to shed a tear or two. An absolute must read for everyone!

Drew is the kind of guy every girl wants. Hardworking, giving, smart, generous, and hotter than hot! He is happy with his life, but knows he wants more. Even so, he is content to wait for the right one to show up.

Megan has had to overcome a lot in her life. But she has used those hard times to come out even stronger. She has made them work for her, and is living her best life. And now she is on to a new adventure. Just out of college, new job, new home. She is ready to set the world on fire, and help others along the way!

I love that this book is about a realistic couple. I love that they aren’t perfect, and that they have real people problems. I love that life hasn’t been all roses and sunshine for them, but they are still making the best of it. I love that they are turning their hardships into ways to help others’ lives better. I just plain loved this book! There isn’t another way to say it, it was just that perfect!!!!!

My first Cocky book. Such a good job telling the love story of Drew and Megan. Neither one perfect, but perfect together.
