Code Name: Rook is another fantastic installment in the Jameson Force Security series. I enjoy the time we get to spend with this motley crew! Cage Murdock has recently returned from an operation that was successful, but he still needs to decompress so he heads to a local bar. He\’s always been the kind of guy that likes short term arrangements with women; he\’s more of a player than anything else. While a certain woman catches his attention, he decides to look and not do anything further, she turns the tables when she approaches him. Jaime is a strong woman who works to make sure women and children are safe if and when they are in dangerous situations. She loves her job and her family, but her brother Brian is causing her some strife right now as he keeps asking for money. When she sees Cage at the bar, she makes a move and the two end up hitting it off immediately. The relationship between Cage and Jaime develops very quickly, but there is a huge secret that Cage is keeping with regard to what his occupation is. He\’s told her one thing, but by the time he is ready to tell her the truth, so much has happened that he\’s terrified he\’s going to lose her. Will she be able to forgive him? I enjoyed both Jaime and Cage. They were great characters and the story moved along swiftly. I did like the role that Anna was able to play in giving Jaime some perspective on Cage and Jameson as a whole. Plus, it\’s always great to see some of our favorites from earlier Jameson Force Security books. I\’m looking forward to the next one in this series!

I have been impatiently waiting for Cage’s book since Code Name: Ghost and boy did Sawyer Bennett deliver for Cage and Jamie! Cage is usually a one-night kind of guy, and because of that, he isn’t typically forthcoming with his occupation. After all, being a skilled operative for a company like Jameson Force Security is a big deal, and sometimes women are more interested in his job than in him. It doesn’t usually bother him to lie about his profession, but when one night with Jamie turns into more, and the two end up married with Jamie believing Cage is a used car salesman, he quickly realizes he’s let this spiral out of control and he has to tell her. His plan to tell her very quickly unravels and Jamie is about to find out what Cage really does in a big way. Jamie has been lied to before, and she vows to not make that mistake again. The first time she sees Cage, she can’t fight the attraction. What both agreed to be a one-night thing, has turned into a marriage. But Jamie gets the sense that Cage is holding something back. When she finds herself at the mercy of some nefarious people, she finds out what Cage was holding back, and that he’s not really a used car salesman. She can’t stand lying, but can she forgive the guy she fell in love with, or is their marriage over before it really even started? Absolutely loved this story, and how Sawyer put it together. Cage and Jamie’s relationship was something that we got a glimpse of in Code Name: Ghost, so I’ve been extremely curious about them from that point. I love that we got a more in-depth look at their relationship and how things started for them. I also really enjoyed seeing Cage’s point of view in his relationship with Anna. They truly are the best of friends, and this story made me love Anna even more! Cage and Jamie have white-hot chemistry and I loved how their story unfolded. Plus, I love getting a glimpse at some of the characters from previous Jameson Force books, and I really really love getting a look at who/what the next book in the series will be about!

Audiobook Code Name: Rook by Sawyer Bennett
If your already fans already of this great series you know we’ve already had a tiny glimpse of Cage and Jamie’s start in the last book: Code Name: Ghost. Well it’s time for the whole story! And it’s a doozy ? Cage meets Jamie and they are like any new couple getting to know each other…kind of. Big difference is Jamie is fairly up front about everything. Her job her family, and their issues. Then there’s Cage. He’s afraid to tell Jamie exactly who he is. So he fabricates a life he thinks she’d be comfortable with. There’s always time later to come clean…Right? His friends think he’s crazy for not telling the truth but what can they do? Fast forward and things are pretty serious between Cage and Jamie and when they are in Vegas for a convention they decide to get Married! Jamie still doesn’t know who Cage really is. But his time is running out and the lie has him in deep. Will Jamie ever forgive him? Well when some family drama gets Jamie in a dangerous predicament Cage’s time has run out. Now he in for the fight of his life, to get his wife back. I loved the banter we teen these characters. Did I want to smack Cage because of his deception…YES! many times lol. But it kept the story moving at a good pace. I loved the way these two just fell instantly for other. The emotion, heat and action makes this a great read.

Audio Code Name: Rook narrated by Emma Wilder John Lane
I love, love, love this series. Each book and story is just so unique. Once you start reading them you can\’t put them down. Loved the storyline between Cage and Jaime. Loved their connection. So pleased she gave him a second chance to explain his wrongdoings by lying about his job. They truly deserved to be together. Wonderful again Sawyer.

I loved Cage and Jaime. He was such an idiot for not coming clean earlier but then Jaime was stubborn when she refused to talk to him. Everyone he told her was the truth. Just not about his job. Can’t believe her brother. I never trusted him at all. Looking forward to the next lot of books in this series.
