Musashi is a fictional book. It is written by Eiji Yoshikawa originally. The translation is done by Charles S. Terry. Eiji Yoshikawa was a Japanese novelist of historic fiction. His best novels are the revisions of some fantastic older classics. If you want to know about some best works of the author then Life in the fasting Lane is the novel for you. The Obesity Code is also a promising novel and could make a good read as well.
The narration of this chapter is done by Brian Nishii. The performance by Brian is the highlight of this audiobook. He put extraordinary effort into the performance and it worked well for the audience.
Musashi
Miyamoto Musashi was believed to be the son of an era. That was the time when Japan was emerging strongly after many years of civil strife. He regained his consciousness right after the battle to discover himself lying dazed, wounded, and defeated. He was along with thousands of others who were dying and dead. Upon his way back home, he committed a very rough act. He became a fugitive and managed to bring lives to a standstill in his village. This remained the case until he got captured by a Zen monk, who was weaponless.
The gorgeous Otsu freed him from the torturous punishment that he was having. But Musashi got captured and imprisoned once again. He spent three years in solitary confinement then. After that, he delved into the classics of China and Japan.

The book is good but it comes with a share of its problems as well. It seems that the book lack flow in some places. A lot of the audience recommend watching the Samurai Trilogy which was adapted from this very novel.
