Dark Fire

This is, so far, one of my favorite Dark Carpathian books. I absolutely loved Darius and Tempest’s story. I thought they were great together, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story line throughout this book. The only thing “missing” from this one is that Darius never went after the man who had raped Tempest sometime before they met. He gleaned the details of this event from merging his mind with hers, and had vowed to go after the guy, but it never happened during the story. That is just a minor complaint, however, as I really did enjoy every aspect of this story.

I do think it’s important to read these books in order so you’ll have a good understanding of the Carpathian history and everything that goes along with being a Carpathian.

I definitely recommend this book! It was a thoroughly entertaining read all the way through.

After Julian mated Desari, her brother Darius finds his mate in the mechanic that she, Desari hired.

Darius is Gregori’s lost younger brother (& Desari is Gregori’s lost little sister) & has been taking care of their little family (Desari, Dayan, Syndil, Barack & Savon(who recently turned vampire)) since he was 6 years old. & after meeting Julian now has a hope that he will find his lifemate; but he didn’t realize that it would be right away.

Tempest “Rusti” Trine has always been able to talk to animals & has been alone for most of her life. But, when she took the job as mechanic for the musical group she never thought that she would find a family & a love of her own.

This is the tale of a head strong arrogant male & a disaster prone female & their new relationship & romance. This book was excellent & this was a re-read for me; but I don’t think that I had done a review before so here it is.

I was excited to see Darius in his own book and I was not disappointed. His attitude kept me reading and when Tempest (Rusti) joined the group as their mechanic it just flowed. I loved the back and forth between them. Darius needed someone to keep him on his toes. Another fantastic Carpathian story! I am enjoying this series so much!! They are definitely books you just have to keep reading. They all put you through your emotions and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

Dark Fire is one of my favorite stories from this series. Darius brother to Desari, protector of his family, his word was law he is the male lead of the story. His leading lady is Tempest, a mechanic, who is human. She talks to animals, has no sense of direction and never listens to Darius when he is telling her she must obey him. Dark Fire is filled with angst, humor, love and family. I laughed out loud from beginning to end. Feehan definitely gave Tempest’s the best sense of humor. This character says the most interesting things but she is always getting into trouble. I loved this story. Happy Reading!!

Although each book is thankfully, a stand alone, characters are introduced in each that make sense in the following books. So after jumping around, I started “from the beginning” and am happy that I did. The Caroathian men are predictable and heart stopping. The author luckily by book 4 began to develop women with more sense and less independent drama. And after 30 plus books, creating storylines that catch the reader from the start is an admirable ability by this author! You’ll love this series!
