I loved this book for many reasons, but mostly I appreciated the candor and maturity with which it was written. The author acknowledges many personal triumphs and failures, relates countless rock and roll antidotes, but the common thread that weaves it all together is his love for music. The book is an “up to the minute” account of his life and includes commentary on Covid19 and his IBM diagnosis. The stinging part as a reader is the realization that a man who literally lives for music may not be able to play anymore. I just hope Peter will remember that Django played with a handicap, and Les Paul didn’t stop playing his weekly gigs even though his skills had diminished greatly. If Les would’ve hidden himself away, a lot of players who looked up to him would’ve missed out on a life changing encounter to be on stage with their idol. I highly recommend this book.

Audio Do You Feel Like I Do?: A Memoir narrated by Peter Frampton
Like so many fans my first exposure to Peter was Frampton Comes Alive. I quickly bought his first three solo albums and to this day they still touch me very deeply. The deep cuts from those original albums have soul touching words and music. This book helps bring them even deeper with some backstory to many of the actual songs but more so to the writer/performer. Peter’s talent was rare at a very early age and combine that with being in the right place at the right time by connecting with nearly everyone who was or soon to be become, legends. I’m grateful to have learned so much about someone I’ve appreciated for over 40 years.

For me, the storyline of the book drifted around quite a bit. Frampton\’s narration was good, but his writing style (At least for book worthy material!), could use improvement.
