Down Home Cowboy is another winner for Maisey Yates. Alison had a horrific marriage. She now has an ex-husband but she came out of this a changed person. She was beaten down and she has worked tirelessly to rebuild her life. She is now independent has her own business and needs no one.

Cain has come back to Copper Ridge and his brothers. He has brought his daughter, Violet, here to start over after his wife and her mother walked out on them. He needs to escape the ghosts and bad memories for both of them. But Cain is having a problem being a single father.

When Allison and Cain see each other at the local bar they just look. Neither of them does anything yet they don’t forget each other either. A great story to read and watch the dance that Allison and Cain do. You won’t be disappointed.

I like most of her books. Massey Yates knows how to engage a reader quickly. She has good character development. Some of the characters I am more fond of than others. I can recommend reading her books as a good read.

I am enjoying this series of stories by this author. One reason for my 4 stars is the explicit romance scenes. I like more implied love and using my imagination instead of such explicit descriptions.

I love Maisey Yates and this book did not disappoint! The seller is wonderful and I plan to continue buying from them!!
