This book provided a understanding of the Latin community. The diversity is so all encompassing it\’s hard to begin to realize. I also solved the mystery of the Cuban community (I never could understand why so many were republicans). I am a black American who lived through the civil rights era and know its been a never ending struggle and I see it\’s the same for black & brown. Learned so much from this book thanks for writing it.

I absolutely enjoyed this book, preordered it and ended up buying a physical copy. Paola thank you for taking us on a journey in hopes of one thing, to give voice to those LatinX men, women, young, old and a glimpse of how far we have come along. Thank you for your explanation on the term “LatinX” which up until 2 days ago I had no idea what it fully meant today I can proudly say I’m a LatinX and even go as far as educating other friends who don’t feel Hispanic / Latino enough due to society saying their not enough.
