Eureka!!! At last the penultimate showdown between Zak/Georgia and the big bad has arrived!! Throw in a super powerful in utero baby, pregnancy hormones, a witch or two, prophecy revealed, memories returned…. and you have one amazing book! Angels and vampires and witches oh my!! If you haven’t read “FIRST BLADE” and “FIRST WITCH” do NOT pass go, rewind and read them first or you will be completely lost. Trust me it’s well worth reading them all!! Lots of action, spell casting, humorous quips and a little romance here and there all combine to make one heckuva finale! ENJOY!!

This series is pretty cool, and I’ve really enjoyed Georgia’s story as of late. She’s pregnant in this newest installment, and after everything that she and Zak have been through, you’d think they could catch a breather or two and have easy sailing the whole way through. Wrong. Instead the stakes for keeping their baby safe have risen, and with every new discovery of Zak’s past, it’s beginning to look like they just may never rest. Not until the threat towards their happiness is gone for good. And Georgia won’t rest until she sees it through.
I like Georgia’s independence and her will to do things on her own. At times it was stubbornness that would only come to bite her on the butt when she didn’t ask for help, but it was still an admirable trait. Zak had his moments, but for this book, he was back to being the rather annoying protective guy. I adored it, though at times it just seemed repetitive with the number of times Georgia kept repeating herself. It came to a point when I kept thinking, “Yeah, she’s a powerful witch who could kick anyone’s butt. Can you chill so she can stop repeating herself?” But that’s just a personal opinion. Everything else was great (and sad, ugh the feels) and I’ll definitely be continuing. It’s a recommended read for me.
