I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry

I expected much more from this book. It is full of school girl rhymes that lack substance or movement. If you have the opportunity to thumb through this book before buying, I suggest you do so.

The book itself is already so wonderful! Just from the few poems I have read, this is really something that came from her heart. The cover of the book is even more beautiful when you have it in your hands. It even has that new book smell! It really is something that can be something that both really poetic people can get into and for those who also are trying to understand and get into poetry as well. Being a huge fan of hers, I adore this book. I only wish that there was some drawings in here but other than that, Im so happy that she is giving this to us and Im so happy that I finally have it in my hands!

halseys always had a way with words in her music, but this book is just beyond words. she pours her heart across every page with every poem and tugs at all of your heart strings. this book makes me feel the same way her lyrics make me feel, like im not alone. thank you halsey, for putting your heart out there with the rest of us 🙂

Wow!!!! I tore through this book and couldn’t put it down. I’ve always been a fan of Halsey’s writing – from the Tumblr poetry days to her music – but this blew all expectations out of the water. So many of these poems felt like a punch in the chest, they took my breath away. I don’t usually buy poetry books or read much poetry but this was easy to read and yet still profound. I think my favorites were Fun Girl and Ordinary Boys. I’ve already purchased two more copies to send to friends.
