Keep Your Enemies Closer (Alison Brownstone #11)

The only problem I have with these books is the strange slant on honesty…so not telling someone something is You Lied To Me territory..Hmmmm not so much and boyfriend Mason says he is all jazzed because Allison told him her secret…duh!!! It was not her secret to tell, it was her Dad’s secret! So honesty between partners involved telling your partner other people’s secrets? I don’t think so some secrets are not yours to tell, they belong to others and you need to tell your partner you can’t tell them someone else’s secret or problem. Retired police here..there were, at times, things I could not talk about at all for a while even if those things made me sad or upset.
And not telling someone something is Not the same thing as telling a lie!
I Never Lie…I do however sometimes just keep my mouth shut. It kept me employed. I also had a stint where I did the books for a business. I didn’t talk about that either. It was all above board but no one’s business but the owner of the business and the IRS of course. Not my friends or spouse, or anyone elses…secrets are not always bad!

Otherwise love the series. Some of the characters are obsessive but so are many people I know in this world. There is always plenty of magic and action.
