Til Death Do Us Part

Wow, what an utterly amazing saga! This is the only thought I have as I close the 6th book of Zombie Fallout. I love the zombie genre, to the point where I devour every book I can that is zombie related. What is amusing is that I avoided this series for so long. I thought to myself,how could a series of books that has roughly 7 books be a good story? I mean, how could the author possibly keep my attention in a story that has so much to it? I’ve read so many booksthat had page after pageof nothing but boring information & such a lull in the story thatit was a struggle to get past those parts to get to the good stuff,and that was in a single book; so it seemed to me that 6-7 books of the same story would be mind-numbing in spots. I never realized just how wrong I was! I found myself almost out of zombie stories to read, (I’ve seriously read almost all of them) so Ifinally relented to read this series. I am so glad i did!It has become my favorite to date of the zombie genre, and I have come across many fantastic stories over the years.
It is a very rare talent for a writer to be so gifted that they are able to suck you into a story as if you are one of the characters& write characters so perfectly that they become real people not just characters. Mark Tufo exceeded every expectation I had with thissaga. Many times I laughed out loud at Mike Talbot’s jokes and witty sarcasm, and cried as the people I had come to love suffered hardships and immense loss. I was carried through every imaginable emotion throughout the whole story until I was exhausted, but still I could not put any of the books down. Book 6 was by far my favorite, but I believe that was because by then, Mark Tufo had me so attached to all the characters so deeply that they had become my own family. When I had 1/4 of the 6th book left, I couldn’t wait to find out how it was all going to turn out; but at the same time I felt an emptiness creeping up on me knowing that the story was ending and there would be no more. As it turns out, he still had quite a few surprises and punches to throw at me in the last quarter of that book…the ending was quite like the rest of the story….amazingly perfect!
Thank you Mark, I rarely find a storythat touches me as deeply as Zombie Fallout did. I look forward to reading some of your other stories.

This entry of Mike Talbot versus the Zombie Apocalypse and more was packed with action, twists, turns, the cha cha cha, and some very excellent surprises. More is revealed about certain characters, and one very important new character enters in. Frankly, beginning to end, it was one of the best so far. Which is saying a lot as i have thoroughly enjoyed every book thus far!!!! Talbot is a character you will never forget, and happily get dragged along on every single one of his hair-brained plans, I mean adventures, yeah, those! I’m glad there ate more ST books, but also, a couple other equally interesting series staying this multilayered, devout family man, steadfast friend, and sometimes borderline genius of a character. Plus he’s funny as heck. All hail Tufo and his madscape cast of players, may the books never stop!

I like this series better than any other zombie series. Sorry, Bobby Adair, no offense, and I still like yours. 6 is the best of all. I can even ignore the misplaced commas and apostrophes, misuse of then and than, misuse of pronouns and a few other problems. I am sure that if you let me proof your books I would catch a lot of those things. Other fans think the same thing. Sorry, but we all have other things to do, such as reading zombie books, noticing every mistake and hoping the zombie apocalypse never happens because we don’t have enough guns, ammunition, food or water. I am a bigger germaphobe than Michael is so there are not enough sani-wipes on the planet for me, either. Anyway, I am looking forward to reading 7 and 8. Keep writing! Gotta go to the store for bleach and Lysol.

About eight months ago, I was looking for new thrillers to read. Having a zombie “obsession” and noting that Zombie Fallout looked interesting, I bought the first book. I actually think I read the first four books in five days. The story, the characters, the “realism” of a zombie apocalypse just had me from the very beginning. I was hooked on these books. I actually bought the second, third, fourth book after reading the first. I could not wait for the next “journal” in the series. I have not been disappointed. Well, there is ONE issue I have but I will leave that to you (gentle reader – as SK and MT would state) to decide on.

This “journal” number 6 picks up exactly where 5 ended. I loved how fluidly the story just took off (once again) and (once again) I could not stop reading until I finished the book. I read fast (not a speed(er) reader). I just could not put this book down (even when my dogs wanted to go outside and pushed the book out of my hands). Once again, the introduction of new characters, how they immediately took on their “role” in the book and just moved the story along. I, for one, just am amazed with how well all the characters work together (except one) and I truly love Mike Talbot and Tracy and the whole Talbot family and, of course, HENRY!! God love that dog (and all his stinky ways).

If you are a serious “zombie apocalypse” lover, love all things zombies, are a Nerdist… you get the point… you will most definitely LOVE this series and this 6th book in the series.

Mark Tufo, is, by far, the best Zombie author around. His characters are all believable (because they ARE real people in and about his life). There is no other zombie book/story that I have read that have characters and story lines that are just this believable. You will be able to relate to each and every one of these people or know people like this.

Brilliantly written, edited and published. RUN – okay, CLICK FAST and order all the books in this series! You will not be disappointed.

If you want a book that will have you on the edge of your seat, make you laugh and cry, love and hate all in the same book…..this is the one for you……zombies….tick’d…….vampires…..tick’d……..blood guts and gore……tick’d, tick’d, tick’d………….laughs……..tick’d, lovable characters….tick’d, characters that you want to hate and boo outloud to…..tick’d……it’s got the whole kit and kaboodle wrapped up in one book series !…..Stephen King?….nah he can’t tell a story like Mark can !
I cannot write a review as eloquently as the reviewers before me. All I can tell you is that this book is by far the best of the series, I tried to read it slowly to make the moment last, but alas it is now finished and my life is empty and devoid without Mr Talbot and his family.
This book is not simply a zombie gorefest, the horror and gore is balanced out with a wonderful dose of humour and at times you find yourself laughing out loud – ever since being introduced to the Talbot clan in book 1 I find myself actually genuinely caring about each character and the trials and tribulations they have survived through, the loss of any character along the way has felt like a true bereavement – even with the bad guys and girls. This book introduced a new character called Trip who had me laughing like a loon and is a strong enough character in his own right for spin off series – and then at the end of the book there is one of those little twists that make you go “Aaaahh now it becomes clear” and all of a sudden the books take on a deeper meaning which makes you want to read them all again wondering why you didnt see that coming and wondering if maybe you should read the whole series again just to see if there were any clues you missed.

The previous books had some reviews which complained about grammar, spelling mistakes, style of writing – who sits and reads a book and complains about that – who cares – read it for the story ! Don’t let those silly reviews put you off this series – your life will be enriched by reading them – what more can I say – accept BUY THE SERIES you won’t regret it and who knows….if it ever were to happen what better DIY manual would you need to survive yourself.
