Mia entered the life of Elena with her young daughter Pearl and soon she was in power to dictate terms in the society.

Both mother and daughter became famous all of a sudden and there was a group of society that was following them for all purposes. One thing Mia never talked about to anyone was her past life. Elena tried to scratch a bit for the secrets but they proved to be well guarded. Then the issue of a child in the society brings these two strong women to face to face.

With them, the society got divided into two groups and the battle started. Elena knows that she can solve everything if she reaches the core of Mia’s past. However, the author Celeste Ng makes things more difficult for Elena when she reaches for the truth about Mia’s past. Don’t forget to give a glance to Everything I Never Told You right after this one because of the theme of the two books about women’s matches and different levels. Jennifer Lim in narration ends better than the starting because the starting was not compact as compared to the ending.
