Remember this is just one person’s opinion.

I have NEVER not loved a book by Kristen Proby. NEVER. But I didn’t like this one. I didn’t like the H/h, what little we knew of them. I didn’t like them apart or together. I didn’t like the supporting characters. The ‘conflict’ was silly, and the resolution sillier. Really, Dad? Your daughter’s fiance ghosts her for a month, she tells you she’s pregnant and hurt, and you say she’s at fault? Really? I’m struggling to figure out what or who we were supposed to feel warm and fuzzy about. The animals? What happened to Angela and the babies? Even Proby’s trademark girls’ night fell very flat. The whole book felt rushed and superficial.

One positive for me: I really think I could like Levi. I’m hoping Levi and Starla’s story is next in this series.

I will not abandon this author. She has given me so many smiles over the years. And only one dud out of a significant and growing pile of wonderfulness. So, this gets filed and I can’t wait to get onto the next read from one of my favorites.

Kristen Proby always writes stories with characters that I love. While they all have some similar characteristics- the men are hot and supportive, and the women are independent and strong,- they’re also so varied. I found that to be the case in Love with Me, the 11th book in Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle series.

Jace and Joy have been friends since they were freshman in college. Now as a cardiothorasic surgeon and a veteranarian, they’ve been each other’s go-to when they have events to attend. But things begin to shift for them romantically, and they are seeing each other differently than before. They are hestitant initially to give things a try, as they’re worried that if things don’t work out, they may ruin a wonderful friendship. Their feelings are too strong, however, and they throw caution to the wind. And Jace and Joy are so much stronger together than they are apart!

I love the friends-to-lovers romance trope! I loved Jace and how much he could appreciate Joy’s strength and smarts- and that he’d do anything for her! Joy was such a wonderful character who wanted to be herself, but loved Jace’s support and love for his career.

Love With Me brought me back to Seattle, a place that I so want to visit because I have fallen in love with this huge family! I so loved this book, and highly recommend Love with Me!

Audiobook Love with Me (With Me in Seattle #11) by Kristen Proby

Kristen Proby has done it again. Shes created a heroine and hero that you want to be friends with. Shes created a couple that you have to root for. I absolutely loved Jace and Joy. I loved their friendship that just seemed to naturally become a relationship. I loved how much Joy loved animals, even taking some in and making them a part of her family. Joy is definitely the kind of woman a girl would want to be friends with.

Then theres Jace. You just want to hug him throughout most of the book. There are a couple moments where I wanted to shake him, but I think that is the case with all great book boyfriends. They cant be completely perfect, right? And while Jace isnt perfect, he makes one heck of a perfect couple with Joy. Sexy, sweet and everything in between.

Although Love With Me is part of the With Me in Seattle series and you get to check in with a bunch of the super awesome characters from the first nine books, Kristen has created a new group of characters that are just as fun and lovable. You want to have drinks and dish with the ladies, while ogling the sexy as all get out men.

I absolutely recommend this book and every single book that came before it. Of course, you dont need to read the other ones to enjoy this one, but you should do it cause theyre awesome.

Audio Love with Me (With Me in Seattle #11) narrated by Joan Delaware

I have throughly enjoyed this series.
I love the characters, the stories are great, they definitely hold my attention throughout.
Overall I liked Jace and Joys story, but there were a few issues I had with parts of it.
Theirs is a best friends to lovers story. Always each others plus one to events and parties. Always just friends. Until the unthinkable happens and Jace finds himself temporarily suspended from work. The first and only person he wants comfort from is Joy. Not having day to day duties pushes the two of them to spend most of their time together. And to finally admit that they both have less than platonic feelings for each other.
What bothered me with this story was a couple of things.
First, two medical professionals, Jace, a nationally renowned cardio thoracic surgeon, and Joy a practicing veterinarian dont seem to have even the basic knowledge about birth control. Or the lack there of.
Second, their big breakup moment, while infuriating, was a bit of a stretch for ending things.
And finally, I was absolutely flabbergasted at the reaction of Joys father over the way Jace has treated his daughter. He did in the end offer some good advice, but not before putting most of the blame on her.
This was a quick, easy read. Told in dual points of view. No cheating, no angst, a few bumps along the road to their happily ever after.
This series seemed to wrap up things in a nice little bow after book 8, Forever With Me. I was very happy when more books were added. While the first 8 books centered around the wild and crazy Montgomery/Williams clan, these last two books are almost a spinoff of the first books. Its still set in the same world and occasionally characters from the earlier books pop in but these are definitely their own little world. Even the covers are slightly different.
While all of the books can be read as standalones, it is a great series.

This was a fast paced, angst free and engaging best friends to lovers romance. That I really enjoyed reading. And even though the way Jace and Joy went from best friends to boyfriend/girlfriend was very quick and a little unbelievable I still really embraced it and enjoyed their romance. As it was sweet, sexy and charming. Not to mention the characters themselves were very charismatic and engaging and I liked the time they spent with the more familiar characters from the With Me in Seattle series. Plus, the storyline was easy to read, fun and easily held my interest. And anyone who is a fan of this series is sure to enjoy this latest instalment as much as I did.
