Loving Kalvin (The Kennedy Boys #4)

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed the first three books in this series and do love Siobhan’s other books. However, this book was not my favorite. I did like Kalvin’s character. I understood that he was young and made poor decisions in the past but he had grown up and learned from those decisions. He has such a good heart and had no problem showing it now or fighting for what he wants. But I had such a hard time forgiving Lana and I think that it was because instead of realizing what she had done was wrong and then trying to redeem herself with him (not necessarily get back together but show him that she was actually remorseful and that she understood what she did was worse than what he did), she instead realized what she was doing was wrong but then continued make poor decisions and hurt him over and over again. I was just never able to develop a connection with her character. Maybe this is just because I am stubborn and don’t think forgiveness should be easily or freely given and that made this book hard for me. But while it wasn’t my cup of tea, I can understand why others would love this book and the force of love that it entails. Despite my feelings on this book, I will definitely continue to read this series!

Then they were teens and they found love again… Lana was the one who was very aware of her love but Kal was in fear of facing true love, to be able to commit and it was easier to run from it. He thought he was protecting her but it was the opposite…

Their love broke in the worst possible way…. with a broken hearts, false accusations, running away, hearting….

And now when some time has passed… when everything bad is in the past… Has their time arrived?? For Lana to forgive herself for what she did and Kal to prove his love and commitment to her??

But there are still people who cant forget, who cant understand and will not let Lana put her sin in the past and Lana with all that guilt and the big secret that shes keeping from Kal will bring them to test again their love…

Throughout this book I have had a great sense of love for both of them … Both of them have made so many mistakes in the past, and again I couldn’t help but sympathize with them… to cheer for them, for their love, passion and ability to forgive themselves first and then to each other and to start a new beginning … to find their common path …

I love Siobhan so much and cant wait to continue to read other brothers…

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Kalvin another one of the Kennedy boys and Lana a girl who’s parents are employees of the Kennedy’s have known each other forever. Lana is in love with Kalvin but Kalvin is kind of a playboy. Eventually Kalvin and Lana get together and have sex but Lana does something that is truly horrible to Kalvin. Lana is truly sorry for doing what she did to Kalvin and Lana changes her name and her family leave and move to Florida where she enrolls in UF. Kalvin hates the world for awhile but he realizes that he is in love with Lana and wants to show her he forgives her and has changed but he doesn’t know where to find her. Eventually he decides he wants to enter a study program in Florida and enrolls in UF, where he finds Lana. They spend time together getting to know each other again but Lana has a huge secret that she is hiding from Kalvin. What happens when he finds out? Will he be able to forgive her yet again? I love Lana and Kalvin’s story, one of love and forgiveness.

Kalvin Kennedy used to live the high life, a different girl at every party, doing whatever he wanted. That all changed a year ago when he was accused of something unforgivable. While the truth came out, the accusations forever changed Kalvins outlook on life, the one thing that hasnt changed is his love for Lana. Lanas life forever changed the night she gave her innocence to Kalvin Kennedy. The aftermath that followed is one that she still cant forgive herself for. Shes changed her name, and is looking for a fresh start, away from the boy who owns her heart. Now they are both at the University of Florida, with two different goals, Lana wants to stay as far away from Kalvin as she can, while Kalvin is determined to prove to Lana that he isnt the same person and deserves a second chance. As the two begin to spend more time together, its hard to ignore that feeling of being complete. However Lana is still harboring a huge secret, Kalvin forgave her the first time she lied, will he be able to find it in his heart to forgive her for this one?

While Loving Kalvin is technically a stand-alone, to really understand that magnitude and their relationship I highly recommend you read the first three books in the Kennedy Brothers series. That being said, I was super thankful this book didnt end in a cliffhangerIve said it before and Ill say it again, Siobhan Davis is like the cliffhanger queenso like I said, I was super grateful this story ended with a happily ever after! We got a glimpse of Lana and Kalvin in the first three books but this book lets the reader dive deeper into their lives and their feelings. We get a better understanding of why things played out the way they did. The chemistry between Lana and Kalvin jumps off the pages, and I love that we got to touch base with the Kennedy Family!

Such a bittersweet book ive loved Kalvin throughout the other books and i was dying to read his book to see how it was going to play out. I wont say that Lana (FMC) was my favourite character after all the heartache she caused so i wasnt convinced that my mind was going to change about her. How wrong can you be? By about half way through this book i genuinely felt bad for her and wanted them both to get their HEA. The love and respect between the two of them even after all the lies in the past made it hard not to want them to be happy together in the end. It changed my mind thats for sure. Loved It
