Let me start off by saying, I was scared to read this book. When there two strangers are already going at it by ten percent of the book, I was afraid to keep reading. I thought this was going to be one of those way too much sex and no plot books. I will admit, I was wrong…

This book is a very unique take on love triangles. I am not for or against them. Sometimes they are annoying. Sometimes they are cliche’. Sometimes they are interesting. This one was more on the interesting side.

I loved the characters. I knew which guy I was hoping Katya would end up with in the end, which surprised me. He isn’t the usual character I tend to go for in books, but he just fit for her. I was rooting for her to wake up and see what was right in front of her.

Just when things were getting really good… that cliffy! Seriously? The author had me hook, line, and sinker. I saw the climax coming, sort of. I didn’t see it all, but I had my guesses. And never did I think the book was going to end that way.

I was so hooked on the story, I immediately started the next book, which is not something I typically do. I usually read a few books in between books in a series, but I needed to know what was going to happen and who Katya would end up with.

Even with reading the blurb, I still felt like I went into this story pretty unaware and blind as to what it was about. And let me just say that it turned out to be an awesome surprise to watch the story unravel on its own. Katya Tocci is the typical good girl, she follows the rules and doesn’t push her comfort limits. Instead, she’s a renowned baker, spends her evenings at home and reads. But Katya is looking for a little risk and adventure to break her out of the mold and when her online dating profile is spotted by Liam Edenhoff, her charming and seductive neighbor and sex club owner, Katya embarks on a new journey to liberation and sexual freedom. Then Wufric Stone comes into the picture and if I thought I loved Liam, then I loved Wulfric even more (he strongly reminds me of Jameson Kane).

This book was hot! But it was also hilarious and sarcastic and so many other things, too, that kept me turning the pages for more of Katya, Liam, and Wulfric. I adored all of these characters and Katya herself, the way she handled these situations where she knew she was doing something out of the ordinary but pushed her boundaries anyway. And yet Katya also didn’t want to be deceptive or non-transparent so she was always openly disclosing where she stood with these men so not to lead them on or give them false pretenses.

And then that twist! Can I just say how much I love these kinds of twists? Although I made the connection early on, I didn’t see that ending coming and that particular scene was fantastic! It also tugged at my emotions. Not to mention that it was also a game changer, because the dynamics of who has the upper hand will now shift and I can’t wait to see what’s in store next! First off I need the next book like now or even yesterday would be awesome because the wait and anticipation is going to plague me until I get it. Now I’m not saying much because I tend to rant a little and give spoilers and I don’t want to do that with this book because this is a definite must read and experience for yourself book. I will say this you will be torn between two men and wonder why she is pulled to one while he other is everything. One is moody, demanding and a grade A a$$hole while the other is sweet, up lifting, caring and yes they are both beautiful but then you will come to see the allure the other had because he pulls you in too. It is frustrating but so wonderful and crazy. If you love angst as much as I do then you definitely have the right book but I hate cliffhangers and this definitely has one of those. But it is still so worth reading. Now I’m going to stalk the author to see when the next book releases.

Ok, this was my first Stylo Fantome book. And I liked it a lot! The writing was good! The story line was even really good. But I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending. And then I got caught up in reviews of the 2nd book and, through process of elimination, figured out how that book would go. So I was kind of mad and that’s why I haven’t started the 2nd book. But anyways, I thought this was great! The h is kind of a boring girl who needs some spice in her life so her best friend makes her a kinky sounding dating profile and that’s how she meets H1. I LOVED H1. I really really did. He was perfect. Like exactly what you’d want in that he’s your best friend AND your lover. You should always be best friends with the one you love and I totally found myself falling for him specifically for that reason. And then in pops H2. I wasn’t his biggest fan. At first. He’s kind of a dick. At least that’s how I pictured him. But H2 and h have a history because they’ve known each other forever. And h used to have a crush on H2. So there’s that. The h spends time with both H1 and H2 and I still feel myself being drawn into H1. But the h just can’t let go of H2. The h ends up falling in love with H2 but by the end of the book she finds out a devastating secret between H1 and H2. And honestly, I don’t know if I could come back from it. But that’s where the book ends. So in order to find out how she deals with this crazy secret, we have to read book 2! Ahhh! It was good though. Sexy and steamy and I might read it again one day. But not today. Lol.

OK – what just happened here. A simple enough idea for a story that had a massive impact on me. I loved it, loved all the characters, OK maybe Liam a tinsy bit more than Wulfric and Katya but this was thought out so well, written so well and toyed with your mind and was frustrating as hell but was powerful indeed.
Katya – I loved this lady. Strong but lacking confidence with the opposite sex, is a master baker and designs wedding cakes for a living and is really good at the job she trained to do and in great demand. Bought up in a loving family – if not a little conservative, a good girl.
Tori – Katya’s room mate and best friend decide’s one evening to sent up a profile on Katya on a dating website – but raunch it up a bit first, give her friend the edge, make her sound sexy.
Liam see’s the website and recognises her as his neighbour, and he’s so tempted to take her out of her comfort zone, to teach her new tricks and decides to do just that. Then she meets an old friend that used to live next door to her when she was growing up – Wolfric ( I hate that name) and before you know it she is juggling two men, both so different, both demanding different things from her but she takes it all and more. Once a vanilla sort of girl, Katya is upping the stakes and even suprising herself and the men who take from her.
Of course in the background there is something bubbling and the rippling effects are being felt, nothing good can come of this – right ?
This book keeps you guessing right until the end, and lets just say there HAS to be more, I WANT more. I NEED to know what is going to happen next. A fabulous book that had me glued to the pages right until that very last word, I wanted to be Katya and let loose, I wanted those two men the way she did, and I can’t wait for the next book to find out where these characters go next – awesome !!!!!!!
