I actually liked No Judgments a lot and thought it was cheesy but enjoyable. And thats how I normally feel with most of Meg Cabots novels…but this was terrible. I kept trying to like it but it was so childish and terrible…

At one point a character doesnt want to betray patron-librarian confidentiality . And the dialogue is terrible and unbelievable.

Not to mention all of the there must be more to this story clues ended up falling flat and being lame.

I’ve often heard books referred to as cozy, and call me dumb but I just didn’t get what that meant. Then I read No Offense. This book is so sweet, and cozy and I loved it way more than I anticipated. This is the second book in the Little Bridge series, and so far my favorite. I didn’t know that I needed a romance between a librarian and a small town sheriff until I read this book. I loved everything about both MC. John is such a grump, he’s taking care of his teenage daughter alone and trying to be a better sheriff than the towns last. Molly is full of optimism and sweet as can be. I will say there were some parts where I was thinking “you can’t be serious Molly” but her believing in the best of people was such a Molly characteristic. Because I had started No Offense an hour after I finished No Judgments, the town of Little Bridge was fresh in my mind. I love that you get to see more of the towns people in this book (I literally want to move to Little Bridge), and I loved that this book was duel POV (the first was not). I loved chemistry (just like the first there was a little heat on page), and the banter between Molly and John. There were a few small things that made this a 4 star for me instead of a 5, but ultimately I loved my time in this world, I’m so happy I decided to give this series a try. I’m really looking forward to book three.

Audiobook No Offense by Meg Cabot

This cute story hit home since I’m a librarian. It was a light hearted story to escape the present day madness. The author said many or some librarians have Master’s degrees. ALL public librarians have Master’s degrees. Public librarians are not called media specialists as the author called them. School librarians don’t all have Master’s Degrees. School Librarians are called Media Specialists since they deal with computers, educational machines and all other forms of me. I was one for 39 years.

Audio No Offense narrated by Piper Goodeve

I liked the characters. Meg Cabot is easy to read and a soothing read in these troubled times. The book did seem a little uneven, and the ending was overly contrived and didn’t feel right to me. But, I still enjoyed reading the book.

The storyline was too predictable. Meg Cabot can do better. The girl meets boy instant fighting turning into romance scenario is getting old and redundant.
