One More Chance

Wow. I wanted Abbi to #GiveMeGrant and she did. All of Grant. All of Harlow. Still some wonderful scenes with Rush and Blaire and some forgiving moments with Nan. What can you say except every time Abbi Glines writes a new book it\’s just another opportunity for perfection! It\’s flawless, the journey she takes you on. From knowing Grant\’s fears to seeing him overcome them and knowing what could be and what will become of Grant and Harlow\’s EPIC Love. It\’s unlike any other Abbi story. Her words affect you. She somehow brings this story to life and you almost feel what they are feeling in the moments that are unimaginable as well as the beautiful ones that take your breath away. I knew Grant could be the man Harlow needed. I am still excited that Rush and Blaire are a badass couple. I cannot wait for more of Mase and I do…hate Nan…less, but all the same this series has claimed a piece of my heart as One More Chance goes down as one of my all time cherished love stories.

What a wonderful conclusion to the story of Grant and Harlow. The growing that Grant did during the entire book made me fall even more in love with him, and considerinig I fell in love with him the moment Blaire pulled that gun on him, its been building for a while. I don\’t want to give anything away, but there are little moments in the book that made my heart break and rebuild at the same time…Harlow is wonderful. I love her so very much. Those \”things\” tore me apart, but, in my opinion, absolutely made the story the greatness that it is. Thank you, Abbi! Thank you for always giving me a touching story and making me fall in love with every character. I always look forward to your books, no matter what! You are amazing!!!

I waited for this book patiently NOT!! I was not disappointed. This series is great and Abbi did not disappoint!!

\”My heart had always been weak, but loving Grant made it strong.\” I\’ve been waiting on part two of Grant and Harlow\’s story literally since putting down Take a Chance. You can imagine how thrilled I was to find a copy of it on the shelves of my local bookstore the weekend before it was due to be released. I pushed everything else to the side and devoured it. I\’ve loved each and every one of Abbi\’s stories in one way or another, but One More Chance is my new all-time favorite. It was gorgeously-written, heartbreaking, hopeful and emotional. Of course, there was also a fair amount of the sexiness I\’ve come to expect from Abbi\’s books, too. The blurb for this book is pretty vague, and my review will be as well. There\’s so much GOOD in this story that I don\’t want to run the risk of ruining a single moment of it for you. All I will say is that I had absolutely no idea what I was going to get myself into while reading One More Chance. Yes, yes, I\’m an emotional reader. We know that. But, holy crap. I went through so many ups and downs with this story. More than a few tears were shed. I thought One More Chance would be just like the other books I\’ve come to love from Abbi: sexy and sweet with a couple \”awww\” moments. It was that and SO VERY MUCH more. It was about fighting for the one(s) you love, difficult choices and redemption. To call this book the total package would be a great understatement. It was incredible. \”You came into my life. You changed my world. You made me realize I\’m capable of loving completely. You\’re my one. You\’re it. This is my epic love, and I can\’t lose that.\” I\’ve come to love each of Abbi\’s characters over the course of this series. (Ok, maybe not ALL, but most of them.) I love her couple pairings. There\’s something special about each of them. I don\’t like to play favorites when it comes to book couples, but it has to be said – Grant and Harlow are my favorite. The things they\’ve gone through, the love they so obviously share; it\’s impossible not to love them. I enjoyed their story as it began in Take a Chance, but One More Chance took my feelings and emotions to a completely different level. I could ramble all day about the things I loved about this book, but then I\’d spoil it for you and you\’d hate me. So I just want to add this one last thing. One of my favorite things about this series is that much-loved characters from previous books are always popping up and we get to catch up with them. This group of friends is so tight and, really, more like family than friends. I love that. Rush and Blaire each play a pretty important part in this book and I love seeing the people they\’ve grown to be. I followed their story so closely, it warms my heart to see where they are now. If you\’ve not yet started this series, you need to do something about that immediately. It may be trite to say it just keeps getting better, but it\’s so very true. This book tugged on my heartstrings more than once. I\’d advise having some tissues on hand as you read it. The writing is gorgeous and the characters are memorable. If you\’re like me, your emotions will be all over the place. I wish I could give it more than five stars. It deserves all the stars. In addition to the beautiful conclusion to Grant and Harlow\’s story, One More Chance gives us a great idea of what we can expect from the next book in the Rosemary Beach series, You Were Mine. (As well as an excerpt from the book at the end.) I\’m pretty sure I\’ll need a box of tissues to get through Bethy and Tripp\’s story, but I\’m up to the challenge. I\’ll be chomping at the bit until it arrives, too.

I absolutely loved Grant and Harlow\’s books. It was such a departure from the other Rosemary Beach love stories. There was a whole other level of drama with this one. It had me on edge the whole book, wondering about the outcome. Worrying. Configuring different outcomes in my mind. Trying to figure out what I could live with and what would take me down the rabbit hole. This book picks up after the end of Take A Chance, with Harlow leaving after Grant\’s bad reaction to her heart condition. I could feel the agony that Grant felt with each of his voice mail messages to her. It was tangible. Heartbreaking. But, I could also feel Harlow\’s despair about what she should do. She loves him, but she can\’t handle being treated differently. And, could Grant really be strong enough to deal with all this? He hasn\’t really shown his true strength yet. Right away you know why she\’s so torn up about everything. And. It. Is. A. Doozie. A complete and utter game changer for Harlow. You don\’t understand how hard it is to write a spoiler free review for this book. This story is deep and emotional. Have tissues handy. And, be prepared for more Nan. Mostly the same old Nan, with some questionable moments thrown in. Is Nan\’s character heading towards some redemption? I\’m not convinced it\’s possible, but I appreciate the effort. #stillaNanhater Lol! This is just another outstanding display of Abbi\’s talent. She has a very particular way of creating characters we love, as well as love to hate, and developing worlds we want to live in. I am in awe of every one of her books and characters and the journey she takes us on with them. I will continue to look forward to every new release from Abbi Glines.
