Pink Bits (Awkward #1)

Laugh out loud funny! This is the story of Reagan and Rhett. Reagan is socially awkward and more or less resigned to being alone. One night/early morning, her gorgeous neighbor pounds on the door and stumbled into her apartment and lays down on her couch to take a nap. Yes, hes hungover and yes, hes naked. A comedy of errors ensues and Reagan winds up injuring herself. After taking her to the hospital, Rhett spends the week checking up on her and despite his I dont do girlfriends attitude, and her habit of spouting random facts (“Did you know swans are the only birds with an external penis?”) in place of normal small talk, they wind up falling in love. Theres no real drama here (I mean, there’s fun drama but not the annoying kind), or danger. Its a cutesy love story for those of us who are socially inept, and I loved every moment of it!

Gah! I can’t even believe how much I love this book! It was exactly what I needed!

Simply put, it is fall-out-of-your-comfy-chair HILARIOUS!!!

It’s full of romantic sweetness, tons of heart, and so many awkward moments that you will blush with discomfort just reading them! (In a good way!) And you will love, love, love these charactersespecially Reagan, with all her quirky uniqueness:) She’s the best!

I loved every page!!

This is the funniest story I have read in forever. Reagan is a facts expert for her dad’s feminine hygiene products company and it tends to make her a tad socially awkward with the things that just randomly pop out of her mouth. Rhett is her hot neighbor who doesn’t even know Reagan’s name, he just knows that she lives next door. But when he is woken up to what sounds like someone trying to break down the wall, of course, he has to go find out what is going on. And maybe if he had remembered to put on some clothes before knocking on her door everything would have been all right. Instead, it starts a chain reaction that will leave you laughing even after you have finished the book.
So, if you are looking for a funny, sweet love story with absolutely no angst, then this is the book for you.

Delightful story! Rhett has a hangover and he’s hot; she’s hammering at 5am, so he goes to her apartment to make her stop and to get cool. He sleeps in the buff. Reagan blurts out random facts when she’s feeling strong emotion, like embarrassment. And boy! she has a problem with blood! Yet he stays with her through all her crazy.

If your looking for a great book to read in one sitting, look no further! This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be the last. This book kept me interested from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. The situations that Reagan and Rhett found themselves in cracked me up. And the fact that Reagan had no filter in those situations made it all that much better. She thought it made her awkward in situations, but I think it just made her look like a girl who says what she thinks and isn’t ashamed. Most people would probably be embarrassed, but not Reagan! And I loved that she was like that. I think a lot of us wish we had it in us to be like that. Her and Rhett had a great chemistry together and the only regret I have is that the story wasn’t longer. I would definitely recommend this book and I’ll be purchasing the next book in this series involving Reagan’s friend Charlotte because I loved the writing style so much. JB Heller will now be on my TBR author list!
