Readers have been on this journey, invested in this group, for 6 whole books. We deserved an extended epilogue, one that wasnt just intended to set up the next book series, but, rather provided us with insights into what life looked like for the main couple 3-6 months (at least) after the Summit. This is actually a pet peeve of mine: investing a considerable amount of emotional energy into a couple, only for the author to not even bother providing much of an epilogue when their journey is wrapped up. No offense, but, I didnt much care for Daisys POV at the end. I wanted to get one last peek into Lexi or Keiran before saying goodbye to them; I wanted to see how their life shaped up after they went back home. I suspect well receive updates once the next book series for this universe is released…but it wont be the same. It wont be told from Lexi or Keirans perspective. The epilogue puts a finishing touch on the story and its so critically important because it can influence readers overall thoughts regarding the book. The epilogue for this last book left me feeling unsatisfied and frankly, Im disappointed. I deeply enjoyed this series (its rare for extended series to not drop in quality) overall. However, the lack of a sufficient epilogue, which left me unsatisfied and slightly compressed my feelings on this last book, prevents me from giving it a full 5 stars. (I admit to feeling a little bitter.) I hope Breene releases an extended epilogue.

Sin & Surrender (Demigod of San Francisco #6) audiobook in series Demigods of San Francisco Series

I always hate saying goodbye to a series I love and this was no exception. The biggest difference this time is how I felt after the farewell. Ms. Breene gave us a finale that had me crying happy tears, exclaiming in excitement, and left me supremely satisfied. There were no loose ends, no little nagging issues, and none of the let down Ive experienced with other authors. Lexi, Kieran, and the crew remained 100% true to character throughout the series. They have loads of love, laughter, and loyalty that never waivers. I still cant get over the way Ms. Breene can make me laugh and cry in the same sentence, she is a true master of her art. I cant get into the details without spoilers and I truly dont want to ruin this ending for anyone as its that perfect. But I can say you will NOT be dissatisfied with this book, this ending, or this series. I HIGHLY recommend reading The Demigod Of San Francisco Series.

Audiobook Sin & Surrender (Demigod of San Francisco #6) by K.F. Breene

I\’m really sad to see this series end. I get that some authors allow series to go on too long but it seems that there could be so much more to add. This is the finale to a great series. I gave it 5 stars because of all the love I have for the characters and the series itself. Did Kieran take a backseat in this one? Maybe a little bit. It\’s his face on the covers so one would assume he would shine a little bit more. However it is clear the progression of the series shifts so that Lexi is the real draw…but we would have loved to seen Kieran do more than just walk out of a meeting to show his family is first. K. F. Breene created a world that reflects the challenges of good and evil in all of us. Kieran and Lexi have an eclectic group of supporting cast members that make you want to dive into their back stories more. Surely, this is a possibility? Daisy has great promise but is she isn\’t the only one. Loved this, sad to see it end, and hope the author reconsiders closing the door here.

Audio Sin & Surrender (Demigod of San Francisco #6) narrated by Khristine Hvam

Im a bit speechless and unsure how to articulate how much I loved this book. I thought the last one was my favorite but KF Breene outdid herself on this one. The story just keeps getting better and better. We find out who Harding really is and what the cats really are. Its crazy!! The revelations and additions to the story were hilarious, entertaining and intriguing. The situation with Jack had me tearing up. I was beyond thrilled. Lexi was still fierce in her protection of her kids and family. She was still the girl who didnt like politics and didnt conform to the norm of the magical community which are all things I love about her. They fought hard at the Summit and it was page-turning. Mordacai and Daisy held their own and did fantastic! The book was well written and keeps you engaged and entertained throughout. It is now my favorite of the series.

I love it. I hate it. I want more. Sin and Surrender, the final book in the Demigods of San Francisco series, opens with Lexi, Kieran and the team preparing to walk into the Magical Summit off of a near thumping at the hands of Demigod Lydia. And no one is feeling as confident as they\’d like, regardless of the front they\’re putting up. Everyone has their burden to bear. Kieran struggles with voices from the past, or are they an attack in disguise? The kids have their own issues, as does the team. Lexi is a next level problem between the questions of her marking, her magic and just who has the right to claim her. The summit is off the charts with Machiavellian intrigue and political maneuvering, Demigod team battles, tea with the ladies (Breene goes there), and dinner with Daddy (she goes there too ). In this finale, Lexi and Kieran find out not everyone is who they seem to be. Hell, not everyone is even who they say they are. In the end, loyalties are tested. Decisions are made about who people are at their core, who they truly are, deep down where it matters. When chaos reigns and the test is life and death, we find that family is most important. Loyalty is its own reward. And goodness, the choice to always turn toward good, is what the world needs. This is my favorite KF Breene series. To say I\’m sorry it\’s ending doesn\’t begin to express my sadness. There is definitely more I wanted to see from Lexi, Kieran and the gang. I\’m sorry we didn\’t get that look into the future in the end. It brings to mind that old adage, \’always leave them wanting more\’. That\’s exactly what Breene has done.
