Tarnished Gold (Landry #5)

I’m reading this book now, and I also read the first 4 books in the series. The editing was not that great in the previous books and it was even worse in this one. In this last book in the series, the main character’s name is Gabrielle which is a female’s name, as it was meant to be in the Landry series. But in this last book, it’s spelled Gabriel, which is a male name, throughout the entire book. It’s very distracting and I’m not sure why she was called Gabrielle in the first 4 books, but Gabriel in this one? That’s the worst of the spelling and grammar mistakes and it ruins the reading experience altogether.

I thought this book was pretty good, but after reading volumes 1-4, there was a little disappointment. Tarnished Gold ended sort of strange leaving a reader wanting a little more such as what happened when the father found out there were twins, etc.

I love this series and all of the V.C, Andrews books I have read. I am planning on order all of them.

The stories are fine, but the editing is HORRIBLE. There are so many spelling errors! What bothers me the most in Tarnished Gold, specifically, is that the main character is called GABRIEL, in the description and in the book text. Her name is GABRIELLE, the two are not interchangeable! It’s so irritating trying to read a story that you PAID FOR, and having to make mental corrections on nearly every page. This applies to all of the series, not just the Landry series.
