Sometimes we listen to a novel and then it gets vanished from our memory after a while because it lacked anything interesting that could remain in the memory forever. Such novels are just for the weekends, while on the other hand there are novels that just get stuck in the memory attic for a very long time.

Ursula K. Le Guin is one of those authors who have not produced a lot of literature but the books are worth keeping in the mind and on the bookshelf. Don Leslie has narrated this book and it was not very difficult because the book does not contain a huge number of characters. The characters that are present on the scene on most occasions are simple as their personality is not twisted a lot by the author.
Shevek the awesome scientist in the story gets tired because of the continuous hate of the universe towards his planet. He thinks that it is complete injustice to isolate his homeworld like this. Thus for the sake of his people and his world, Shevek takes a big step. The man decides to travel towards the utopian mother planet and settle this thing forever.

If he comes back successfully then his world will be blessed with everything and if his mission fails the first thing that he will lose will be his life. Situations like those seen in A Wizard of Earthsea are also found in plenty here. The fight scenes are few but the threats just keep on piling up. There is no relaxation time for Shevek in this mission and he is not in the mood to relax either.
