It could do with more polish and less detail. I saw multiple redundancies and more than a few errors in punctuation and capitalization. Some of the restoration descriptions slowed reading flow, which is both annoying and boring.
If this book is re-edited and re-published, I suggest adding a map of Florida and of Jacksonville, pinpointing the historical locations as well as the fictional site of Foxworth House. A copy of the restoration blueprints for Foxworth would also be interesting.

I am not normally a Romance novel fan, but I am a CW Lamb fan. His writing plays like a movie in my mind. I have even experienced oders while reading a CW Lamb book. This book is not just a Romance novel, it is a mystery and adventure story with historic accuracy rolled in. I will warn you that there are explicit sex scenes. However I suspect that is par for the genre. I really enjoyed the story. CW Lamb does not disappoint.
