Cruel and cold. He went out of his way to tear her down and keep his distance. However, her head knew she needed to walk away but her heart didnt get the message. Jason was fighting a losing battle. No matter what he did, his heart had its own plan. Things were complicated. School rivals would get ugly and sacrifices would need to be made. He just needed to win the playoffs and get to college to play ball. A girlfriend would complicate his dream. This story is about self-discovery and pushing your boundaries. When youre young, its the time to try things outside your comfort zone, experiment with new experiences, fall in love and chase your dreams. This is that story, with a whole lot of chemistry. Jason was the star player that every girl wanted but only one could ever truly have. Felicy was his endgame.

L.A. Cotton\’s storytelling is enchanting. Another touchdown!!! I loved this book and can\’t wait to hit the gridiron again in The Harder You Fall. I highly recommend this super sexy and captivating series.

Football, bucket lists, arch rival and enemies to lovers. The story of Jason & Felicity is a steady stream of ups and downs. It was awesome to be in both these characters heads. I thought Jason was going to be the only complex character, but Felicity has layers too. Once they strip each other bare, what is found underneath the layers is beautiful. Jason is my favorite character. I love complicated characters, and he is definitely that. I loved being in his head, getting a different take on what he never shows on the outside. Felicity is more of an open book, but i learned more of her issues and insecurities as well. Watching these two come together was angst ridden and messy, but what comes out of that is two people who are so different that theyre the best thing for each other. I love this couple!! I love this series! I cant wait for the next book, and Im looking forward to Asher finally getting his happy ending. My heart goes out to that boy.

Better than I expected. In the 1st book, I like Flick very much but I dont know about Jason. The more I read the 2nd book, which was reflected the relationship between Flick and Jas, the more I started to see the invisible love between them. Its tough to get invested to their type of love yet in time, it would bloom little by little. The undeniable touch, kisses, and most importantly, the game they play becomes so powerful, you, as a reader, cannot deny their love unfolding beautifully in front of you with words & ears (audiobook). I think its best to read the 1st book to understand Jasons issues as well with Flicks issues of whom they truly want to be. Jason is so determined to be the best of the best as a football player (very alpha male & a control freak- he must be in control b/c everything else in his mind, so it seems, a bit chaotic), no distractions whatsoever. As for Flick, she is so determined to let it loose (to be a bit wild, dont want to be a boring person, to believe being a little bad is good), to make her senior year the best of the best. I was quite in tune with this book even if I believe its best to have this in a College scenario v.s. Highschool scenario. Its all good. The book is described as this phrase, …don\’t count the days; make each day count. No matter what stage of life you find yourself in, just remember to cherish each moment as you transition to your next adventure. According to Flick, falling in love wasnt the plan, but it might be worth it in journey of cliche of high school experiences.
