The Years She Stole

Always love a Jonathan Harvey book. this one is the story of a woman whose mother is dying, she goes home to her & finds that there is a secret that’s been withheld from her which the neighbour knows. A story which seems to wonder off to another story about a teenager who has an affair with a married man & a baby snatched from her pram. I couldn’t put this book down, it wasn’t too difficult to guess ‘who dunnit’ but nonetheless it was a great ending to a beautifully written story.

Love Jonathan Harveys writing he is a brilliant story teller, writing with humour, love and empathy. The characters all come to life from the page. I have read all his books and find them to be beautifully told, cant wait for the next xxx @hippychoc

Waited for this book for a LONG time and wasnt disappointed one bit … every book hes written has kept me gripped from the first page right through to the last. Brilliant story teller and for me his books get better and better. One downside however… and thats having to wait for the next book!

I love the characters in Jonathan Harvey’s books, they are so complex with humour and humanity in equal measure, I read everything he writes and always enjoy his books so much they are gone in a flash and I am waiting for the next one.

Really liked the way he writes but the only let down in this book is there isn’t enough about the dynamics of the three main characters and their relationship …. ie what impact did Pam have on Rachel’s relationship with her mum. So ending was a bit disappointing …. but liked the twist.
