Through Her Eyes

Ok, so going in I was blind like I like to do. I am going to say overall I enjoyed this story it takes you through a journey of emotions that’s for sure. Though I didn’t cry but it is pretty heavy. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if Aria Bennett didn’t have soooo much bad happen to her. I kind of felt like wow this girl is hel – la strong for everything she has been dealt. Don’t get me wrong I am all for a rise up through the ashes kind of story but it was too much for one character. Chase is a character I very much liked but after reflecting on the story I wonder if we really know anything about him other than his love for travel and photography and Aria. I loved the ending as I do because I am a romance-a-holic and HEA’s are my thing. I very much enjoyed the narration, I loved her male voices. I did find her voice to been young sounding but it worked for the story. I will be listening for more by this narrator that’s for sure. *You don\’t have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

I am a total sap for romance novels and I absolutely LOVE Ava Harrison but I couldn\’t get past the first few chapters of this book. It sounds like the main character is a dramatic cry-baby. The narrator is all woe-is-me while narrating it. So couldn\’t do this one…

I couldn\’t get through even half of this sappy book, though I tried. The dialogue is cliché, the main character is annoying, and Chase is so \”perfect\” as to be impossibly unreal – he\’s gorgeous, perfectly built, romantic, and he speaks like he\’s reading from an inspirational meme catalog. Please. I also got exhausted waiting to learn what the \”three words\” were that destroyed her life and sent her into this \”voyage of self discovery.\” It appeared that her decision that she\’s toxic and a horrible person stemmed from her just telling Parker she didn\’t love him. I\’m guessing there\’s more, but it was so drawn out and overdramatic, I genuinely stopped caring.

So, there IS an HEA at the end, but there is a tremendous amount of misery porn to get there. And so many tears and puke, and collapsing, and alcohol. Basically, the h is a hot mess and her life is a dumpster fire. If that sounds good, than this is definitely the book for you!

Great book! Reader beware though, this is not a fluffy romance. I cried many tears. But I do recommend this book for the romance readers and the readers that want a book with some real depth that makes you think.
