I really enjoyed Exclusively Yours the 1st book in the series. The author is a good writer and really keeps my interest. This is book 2. The beginning was good but it soon turned into a disappointment. Heres what happens. Guy and girl meet, are drawn to each other, have sex, condom breaks, shes pregnant. She informs him of the pregnancy but does not want a relationship. He does everything right. He helps her financially and in every other way. He likes her, desires her, wants to spend time with her, and wants sex. Hes smart, kind, gorgeous, sexy, makes a good living – things most women like. She likes him and desires sex but she says NO. She refuses to have a romantic relationship with him because she is afraid she might be hurt in the future if he leaves her. I hate that reason. So for the whole book she keeps them apart – even though they want each other. And he is faithful to her. He does not have sex with anyone else. Finally for a happy ending she changes her mind. That is not a story for me. (This is a romance story so I dont think this is a spoiler.) An example of uninteresting conflict: After the baby is born the grandmother wants to take a picture of Beth (mom), Kevin (dad), and the baby. But Beth doesnt want to and starts to argue What if someday… I enjoyed several scenes about the Kowalski family. This book might appeal to readers who want to read about being pregnant and life with a baby during the first several months. DATA: Narrative mode: 3rd person. Story length: 370 pages. Swearing language: strong including religious swear words but rarely used. Sexual language: mild. Number of sex scenes: 2. Setting: current day New Hampshire. Copyright: 2010. Genre: contemporary romance, baby.

Shannon Stacey writes the really sweet, sexy contemporary romances I get a hankering for upon occasion. It isn\’t even just the main characters that do it for me. It\’s the rowdy, overwhelming family that surrounds them and grounds them and drives them both a little crazy. I love big, crazy families. They\’re so fun! (and loud. and overwhelming. Hey. Someone should ask me about the time MY family went into intimate detail about how to properly slaughter a pig over a holiday dinner once. THAT WAS FUN. I\’m lying. It wasn\’t so much on the fun side. On the other hand, I get to pull out that story every so often and remind people that there are those in my family who would totally survive an apocalyptic societal meltdown because they have mad slaughtering skillz. Good times. Good times.) What was I talking about again? OH. Right. Rowdy families. And Kevin and Beth. I\’m going to say that I REALLY enjoyed this book overall, but there were times Beth\’s stubborn refusal to accept any help made me want to give her a good shake. I totally get not wanting to be dependent on anyone and trying to do it alone because she\’s afraid of not being able to do it at all, but Kevin was so refreshingly patient with her. He put up with A LOT. And his balls weren\’t thanking him for it. Not at all. Heh. Balls. Anyway. I liked it. I liked Kevin and the respect he showed Beth even though it killed him a little inside to stand back. I liked Beth and how panicked she got whenever someone mentioned family. And I liked those Kowalskis. They\’re loud and sometimes pushy, but they love with all their hearts. -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

Audiobook Undeniably Yours (Kowalski Family #2) by Shannon Stacey
I\’ve read this series out of order. I started with the third one (accidentally) and moved onto the first. Now, I\’m on the second. The problem with doing that is that you know the ending. But I suppose the ending is obvious anyway. I don\’t think that it really was an issue for me. What was an issue was Beth. But let me start with the things I liked first. I love the Kowalski boys. They are strong and sexy males that I really enjoy. I love it when they get together and try to talk about whatever the current problem is. It\’s a total male convo and I always laugh. Since this is Kevin\’s story, I was totally into him. He\’s been screwed in the past so he keeps things simple – no long term stuff. His collection of kissed bar napkins can rival any guys. Keeps them in a basket on the bar for giggles cause he\’s so not calling those girls. Then he meets Beth. The only girl he wants a napkin from and she thinks he\’s a player with no intention in ever giving him a napkin. Even after they prove that condoms really aren\’t 100%, she keeps him in the friends category. But he\’s not the player she takes him for. He proves it over and over again. Yeah, he\’s happy about the baby. Yeah, he\’s a guy that likes to take care of things – especially his baby. And yeah, he\’s falling for her. But she won\’t give him a chance. This man has the patience of a saint and I totally fell for him. He\’s sexy and yummy. AND I will NEVER look at chocolate cake quite the same way again. But Beth. Okay, she has issues. She\’s an only child that was smothered growing up but dang it, I wanted to smack some sense into her. She took soooooo long to even give the guy a chance. Every little thing he did trying to make things easier for her, she had to argue about. By the end, I was just rolling my eyes at her. I wanted to like her. I wanted to respect her for trying to be strong. I wanted to be thrilled this wasn\’t an instanta love kinda book. I wanted to admire her for not just sitting around eating cheese burger and letting Kevin do everything for her. But mostly, I was annoyed at her. Stubborn. This women is just too stubborn. She wore down Kevin\’s patience till there wasn\’t any left. That just mad me sad because that boy had A LOT of patience – more than any guy I\’ve ever met, read about, or imagined. When the ending finally came and I was happy, I was also sad. The book spent too much time arguing and struggling and not nearly enough time cuddling and smooching. I really liked the other two books I\’ve read in this series a ton more. I listened to this book while I was doing other things in about a day. The narrator is good, not taking away anything from the story. Her guy voices weren\’t awesome but I could clearly tell each character by the voice. If you enjoy romance, this book may be a good pick for you. But if you like more kissing than arguing, maybe not.

Audio Undeniably Yours (Kowalski Family #2) narrated by Lauren Fortgang
This one was not as good as the first book, I loved Kevin but man oh man Beth did my head in. If it wasn\’t for Kevin I would have given up and DNF\’d this one As with the first book there was a secondary story line going on which added to the book, but I wish we had seen more of Paulie and Sam rather than cold fish Beth. She drove me to distraction.
