WOW! Undone turned out being a pretty good read! I had no idea what to expect going into it. Honestly, I don’t even remember buying the book. I just saw it on my kindle, opened it up AND. DID. NOT. STOP. reading until I was completely finish! I literally sat in one spot, glued to my kindle the entire time.

Undone happens to be a teacher/student romance story. MY FAVORITE! I had no idea! Maybe at one point I did, but I must have forgot. What makes this story stand out, and why I liked it so much is a few things…

*Not only is the plot very well developed, but R.E. Hunter did a great job with all of the characters, including the side ones. That seems to be a hard thing to accomplish with this theme, in my opinion. I liked being inside the classroom, seeing the amount school work, watching the budding friendships and trying to balance it all. It felt realistic to me.

*The author gave time to develop an actual relationship before finding out about the professor part. That’s another thing that tends to be difficult with this theme for some reason. Hell, I was totally invested in the story and that part hit me. Talk about surprise! After it was discovered, the characters had to find a happy medium and work to keep it professional. HUGE points in my book! Why do authors have the lust induced relationship in the first few pages? I cannot stand that.

*There was no jumping into sex in the first chapter. I. Love. That. It wasn’t early on either like many student/teacher books I’ve read. Extra points in my book! The chemistry burns right off the pages and I was secretly hoping (DYING) for it to happen sooner, but I am super happy it didn’t. The tension bubbles until they finally snap, and it’s hot!

I’m a Gators girl, and I LOVED the Dawgs/Gator banter in this book! It was so much fun to read! The side characters…Jeremy…the the ending… OMG! Highly recommend this book!

All in all, Undone is beautifully written debut novel that I enjoyed immensely. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Read previously but never rated it. Decided to read again, so glad I did. You kind of have an idea what is going to happen but towards the end there is a twist. I felt the connection between Luke and Embeds and want to see where it will go. I did have a hard time believing that Embree’s mother would forget that she invited Embree’s ex and his family to stop by after Thanksgiving dinner knowing that Embree was bringing Luke home with her. I also had a hard time believing that her mother would just automatically give her number and her location to an ex of 5 years without talking to her first. As a mother, of a daughter, those things just felt all wrong.

Audiobook Undone (Disclosure #1) by R.E. Hunter

3.5*
This book, or should I say characters, were so maddening to me…Im glad I participated in the read-along/group read so I was able to vent my frustrations each night!

Embry has just moved back to NY, after leaving right after high school to escape an abusive relationship- one that only her best friend knew about. Shes started her first day of law school when she catches the eye of a handsome stranger as theyre walking down the hall. Theres an immediate and deep pull between the 2were talking a major case of insta-lust from both parties.

Even with Embrys history, and reluctance to let another man get close to her, she finds herself falling for Luke. But not all is what it seems with our southern hottie, and before they know it trouble is brewing. And this is where my frustration liesif Luke had been completely truthful and open from the beginning so much of the unnecessary drama could have been avoided. I wanted to bash the two of their heads together at certain points. I was upset with Luke with the secrets he was keeping, but then Embry would tick me off with the back and forth games she was playing with him. Gah, the 2 of them!

And oh God, the ending! Talk about another plot twist thrown in there. Although there were clues along the way that hinted at something like this, for it to come out the way it did was a little surprising. Yes, Ill be jumping right into book 2!

Audio Undone (Disclosure #1) narrated by Jonathan Meza Stephanie Rose

What a sweet story. Luke and Embry love each other deeply but will their love be enough to outweigh the risk of having a relationship together?

Embry has just started Law School with her best friend Morgan and has returned home for the first time since running away from her abusive ex-boyfriend.

Looking for an uncomplicated school life and one that will not involve a love interest, Embry sets out to focus all of her attentions on her studies that is until she runs into Luke Brody. Blindsided by his good looks and beautiful eyes, Embry knows that her resolve has been weakened but not knowing who this handsome man is, presumes that she will never see him again. A night out in a club soon answers Embry’s question though as she see’s Luke across the room. It’s not long before Luke’s heart calls out to Embry and together the pair start to realise that they can’t hide their feelings from each other.

As their romance grows though so do Embry and Luke’s problems and what starts off as an innocent relationship, albeit one which is destined to be life changing, it soon turns sour and becomes a complicated mess filled with hidden agendas, deceit and heartbreak.

This was a really enjoyable story. I was aware of the cliffie at the end and the good news is that the next book, Unbroken, is on it’s way but after the way Undone ended I suspect Unbroken will be a painful and emotional read.

RE Hunter is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this contemporary romance. I’m not normally a lover of sweet romances with emotional twists in the storyline but I really did enjoy this one. It was extremely well written and carefully edited and the story really flowed. My only teeny-tiny criticism is that it seemed a little long and drawn out at times but saying that, I wasn’t tempted to skips paragraphs etc.

Very well written albeit exceedingly the graphic love scenes essential to story at times but certainly left nothing to imagination. This beautiful male professor has a massive ego and absolutely no ethics !He also addressed Embry as beautiful all of the time which says it all.She was his eye candy… or at least initially. To me ,it is apparent this weird situation should never happen twice in the real world of an academic institution as prestiguous as this law school at Whitmore..Once bitten twice shy!
In his past ,Luke falls in love with a student Sydney and apparently ruins her degree and possibly his reputation .A lot of things unsaid in this book ie did he leave another academic institution in disgrace or was he at Whitmore all of the time and it was brushed under the carpet. The telling tale is in fact the female professor(Professor Coleman ) of this FACULTY already alluded to his past in end chapters. So whilst unbelievable to me , maybe it happened and R E Hunter is depicting a real event .If so I`m sorry for this semi – negative review as her secondary characters are brilliant ie Morgan, Brett and Jeremy and have hearts of gold and a true care for Embry .
On another positive , Luke`s soft side is well portrayed when he speaks of his beautiful neice so maybe in next sequel there is hope for him . I just disliked fact, as Embry left this tattered relationship in a heartbroken & crestfallen state, his past love conquest Sydney, should apparently re enter his life (no words spoken) & was depicted sitting on his doorstep awaiting his return!!?? Obviously she just turned up as she had not a door key but did she still hold the key to his heart!! ?
Question springs to mind is :-Was this Sydney in his life all of the time he was wooing Embry ?
Next sequel had better explain !
Perhaps that is the hallmark of a really good author to hold readers in suspense .I will read her books again despite my comments. In fact I can hear someone say why does a reader give a critical review just because the ending wasn`t fairytale ? I agree I`m slightly contradicting myself.
So in summary I did really enjoy reading this kindle version.Disliked the blatant disregard for ethics within this paralegal academic`s life and definitely disliked the abrupt cliffhanger ending…
