I have so much love for Kiss the Stars!!! It is the first book in the Falling Stars series, the spinoff from The Bleeding Stars series. This series centers around Carolina George, a country band. They were seen often playing at Charlie\’s, in the Bleeding Stars books. In KTS it\’s like the the two worlds collide and it felt like I was going home. It centers around Leif, Carolina George\’s drummer, and Mia, a single mom of two and sister to Sunder guitarist, Lyrik. God, these two are some of the best characters that AL Jackson has written. They are both a bit broken and fighting demons but they can\’t fight their attraction. This story is an angsty and emotional rollercoaster ride with twists that I didn\’t see coming. I found myself crying a few times with the heartbreak that both Leif and Mia have faced. It felt like I was living it with them! This author though, she has a magical way with words and I found my heart to be so happy at the end.

Kiss the Stars (Falling Stars #1) audiobook in series Falling Stars

Kiss the Stars is a spin-off from the Bleeding Stars series but is a complete standalone so don\’t worry about jumping in and experiencing the awesomeness that is Leif Godwin! Mia West is the younger sister of rockstar, Lyrik [Where Lightning Strikes (Bleeding Stars Book 3)]. When trouble finds her, Mia takes her two adorable kids to stay with her brother in Savannah. Lyrik\’s band is in need of a temporary drummer for the summer so they call on Leif to join the Sunder band. With Mia and Leif now living in the same house, their attraction becomes irresistible. But deadly secrets stand in the way of their happy ending. In all honesty, I teetered between 4 and 5 stars at the beginning because the story is written in a way where I found the rhythm of the words a bit hard to connect with. But once I found my groove, I became mesmerized with all of the characters and their relationships. So in the end, I rated it 4.5 stars. Having said that… Oh, be still my beating heart! Leif is the perfect embodiment of the brooding, bad boy rocker! He\’s full of terrible secrets and overwhelming guilt…makes any woman with a set of ovaries want to heal and love him! There\’s just something about the dark edginess of a man that just grabs a hold of me and won\’t let go. And of course, A.L. Jackson managed to bring me ALL the feels in this story. But where Leif brought the darkness, Mia ushered in the light. She was the antithesis, the balm that gave Leif comfort. Don\’t get me wrong, this isn\’t a \”sweet\” romance. It\’s passionate, fiery. Together, Mia and Leif explode with tumultuous emotion and I was totally invested in their story! This one has it all…suspense and mystery, give and take, fear and beauty, riveting characters and sweet moments. I\’m hoping this will be the start of a new storyline because I\’d love to read about Leif\’s other bandmates! Told from dual POVs with a delightfully happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Audiobook Kiss the Stars (Falling Stars #1) by A.L. Jackson

AL Jackson dives back into the music world with this Bleeding Stars cross-over novel, Kiss the Stars. Its the first of 4 novels in her brand new Falling Stars series, which begins by shining the spotlight on drummer, Leif Godwin, of Carolina George. As most AL Jackson fans know, Carolina George has been touted as a popular country band, making cameo appearances in several of this authors novels. For years, weve watched them linger in the background, successful in their own right, but still skirting the edges of stardom. Now, at long last, Carolina George takes center stage, as AL Jackson shifts her focus in their direction. First to be showcased in this stand-alone novel is Leif, and in true AL Jackson fashion, his and Mias story is nothing short of heart-wrenching. An angst-filled, romantic suspense, boasting the requisite happily-ever-after, Kiss the Stars promises to rip your heart to shreds, before piecing it back together and leaving you craving more! And as an added perk, fan favorites, Lyrik and Tamar (Where Lightning Strikes), are prominently featured throughout this novel, with occasional appearances by all of the Sunder men, along with their respective wives and children. Next up is Emily Ramseys storylead singer of Carolina George. With no wait time between these two stories, it is currently available as an Audible Original, entitled, Catch Me When I Fall.

Audio Kiss the Stars (Falling Stars #1) narrated by Andi Arndt Zachary Webber

A.L. Jackson has done it again. Her words and story telling is pure magic on paper. She has this unbelievable way of bringing out all the feelings and keeping you on edge through out the story. You will laugh, you will swoon, and you will hold your breath. Nobody writes kids like Amy does either, they are just so darn cute and no matter their age they will completely steal your heart. It is also great being back in the Sunder world and catching up with their families. But dont panic it is a stand alone, but if you havent read the Bleeding Stars series than I bet this will make you want to.

From the first pages of this story, I was fascinated by these characters. I was so engrossed in the story and watching the love deepen between Mia and Leif that I was completely shocked by the ending. Normally, I can see at least an inkling of the twist and turn that an author is going to give us. This time I was so beguiled with the growing relationship between Mia and Leif that my mind had a single focus. I loved the bits about Fate. They were unexpected and hilarious. I think most of us can relate. As with all of AL Jacksons stories, I love the flow of the story, the way she writes and how she communicates all the emotions love, pain, anger, anguish, guilt. The list goes on and on as she makes us experience every feeling and reaction of her characters. This was a beautiful and well told story. Dont miss out on this read as it is everything you want from a book!
