Wayward Spirits (Witches of Palmetto Point #2)

I find it irritating when a publisher publishes a book that is fraught with grammatical errors. Just because a book is electronically read doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be reviewed for typos. This book is the worst I’ve seen. It’s not just full of grammatical errors, but it’s also missing words and uses incorrect words! For instance pg 359 says: “‘We didn’t do anything’, Brianna insisted.” This is Emma speaking, not Brianna, huge difference. Another example is page 378: “His was voice full of curiosity, not fear or disbelief.” It should say “His voice was…”
When the reader has to re-read sentences to figure out what the writer meant to say, it disrupts the flow of the book. This book has just too many of these erros. In fact there are so many significant errors in this book that I won’t be reading any more in this series.
To: Wendy Wang, I highly suggest getting a new publisher.

I have read all 3 books in this series. I loved them. I started out with the Haunting Charile, it was a special offer at 99 cents. I could not put it down, the characters in the book, Charlie, her 3 cousins, her Aunt Evangeline and the handsome, but non-believing Sheriff, were all captivating and the emotions they evoked were real. The struggles she had with her failed marriage, coming to grips with her powers and interacting with spirits, were heartwarming. When I finished the first book, it was late at night and I immediately logged in and purchased the 2nd in the series. You get caught up in the lives of these characters and the writing is excellent. I absolutely recommend these, but beware…..you too can become addicted. I can’t wait for further adventures of Charlie and her friends.

I fully enjoyed reading this story from the beginning throughout the entire book. I love the twists and turns. The new characters that were brought into the story and the way they interacts with the main characters in the story.

Hard to believe but this book was even better than the first in the series. I really hope this series goes on for many volumes. The more complete introduction of the reaper was so intriguing! Wendy Wang developed her characters into people you think you could actually meet. I hope in future volumes she will develop stores for each of the cousins with their own unique abilities and sprinkle in some real life flaws because while Charlie has her insecurities, her cousins and aunt are currently appearing flawless. I highly recommend this series.

Another spooky installment in the Witches of Palmetto Point series. This time Charlie is dealing with two separate cases one with a vengeful ghost and the other with children who were murdered.

Timeline was this books jumps a few months ahead and Charlie and Jason, the deputy sheriff, are working together. Jason finally believes in Charlie’s gift and uses her to help him with both cold and active cases.

A new character was also introduced who isn’t all he presents himself to be and Charlie’s ongoing custody issues with her ex-husband finally come to a favorable agreement.

As with the first book there are plenty of scary moments mixed with laugh out loud humor.
