When Dawn Breaks

I’m speechless. Seriously, When Dawn Breaks is that good. A MUST READ!!!!! Melissa Toppen blew me away with this follow up to Where the Night Ends. Not only do you get a little more Tess and Sebastian (main focus in Where the Night Ends) but now we get Bree and Ants story as well with a little Courtney too. I can’t tell you how much my heart ached in this one. At one point I hugged my throw pillow as I dabbed the tears away while reading. When Dawn Breaks is a very moving emotional story. You will need a few tissues for this one. But you know what it is so worth it. Reading the struggle for Bree goes through just wow. She is so strong. So caring and loving. I love how much she grew up now that she has Jackson. When you finally get Ants back ground you just get it. You see how Bree and Ant can heal each other. You can feel the love and the struggle of doing the right thing but still trying to follow your own heart. The love between Bree and Ant is so raw and so real. Be prepared to have your heart broken and mended a few times over. Be prepared for a fight for love. Be prepared to want to scream and cry and be like really Courtney really. And speaking of Courtney I really hope she will have her own book soon because she needs hers too. I’m not ready to be down with the wonderful group of friends. I can’t say how much I just love Bree and Ant. The ending made my heart so happy. Seriously this is a fantastic book and Melissa Toppen is a need to read author.

When Dawn Breaks is a story about best friends turning into something more than that. This is Bree’s story. She is a single mom and is scared to let anyone in because of what happened to her when she was younger. No one should’ve gone thru what she went thru. Bree , Courtney and Tess are all best friends, like sisters. I really liked Tess as I would want her as a friend.
Anthony or Ant had a rough childhood as well. He was dating Courtney in high school but he had stronger feelings for Bree so he broke it off. Now 5 years later he wants to see if Bree feels the same way.
Bree has a son and the way Ant is around that boy will make any woman be swoonworthy. Anthony is my favorite character because he was such a caring, loving guy.
Both Bree and Ant have kept their childhood pasts inside, will they both open up to each other?

Melissa Toppen is a new to me author and I’m so glad I got the chance to read this as I will be wanting to read more books by her 🙂
I highly recommend this book. The storyline is wonderful, a group of friends that care for one another and not that much detailed heat(sex) scenes.

The story When Dawn Breaks by Melissa Toppen is a new adult/contemporary romance book. This is an amazing and wonderful story that I loved reading. It is a story that touched my heart and had my emotions going up and own all the time. There are parts of this story that made me laughing and others that had me misty-eyed. There are parts that had me upset with how the main characters had been treated in the past. Then there are wonderful moments when their feelings for each other is like a light shining through the darkness. I didnt want to put it down until I had finished the last page. I just had to know how it ends. The story begins with the two main characters reconnecting after not seeing each other for some time. They two were always good friends. They are comfortable talking to one another even after the time that has past and they banter back and forth with each other. They both also have a past that the other knows nothing about but has shaped the lives that they now live. They have a definite attraction to each other and even though she considers him off-limits and that there could be problems with them being together they soon find themselves in a relationship. Sometimes knowing what you should do and doing it are two separate things and the tendency is to take the easy way out. Doing this can cause hurt feelings and rifts in friendships. The question now becomes what will happen when their relationship is found out? What would it mean for this couples future? Will their love be able to survive or would it mean the end of their relationship? This is an amazing couple who I grew to love and I wanted them to find happiness together. There are so many moments where I was saying Aww. This is a beautiful friends to lovers story. This is the second book I have read by the author and I have found her to be a wonderful storyteller. I cant wait to read what she writes next! This story does have content that includes sensitive subject matters such as sexual and physical abuse. That should be taken into consideration when reading. I would recommend it for those 18 years of age or older.

When Dawn Breaks was a very awesome read it had a lot of emotional moments that I just felt so much for Ant and Bree that I don’t know how I got through finishing their story. It was just so many things that Bree had to endure to get where she could find her happiness that it just got me so work up and Ant too his life wasn’t easy too but I love that even being two lost souls they found one another again and have their HEA.
