Mean Machine

I’ve read Cuffed, so I was introduced to Mason in that book. He’s definitely the man you want to have your back in any situation! He can be mean and rugged when he wants, but he’s also capable of using a soft touch when needed. I loved him for taking in Casey, (or Cassie) in Cuffed, and his heart of gold and generosity doesn’t end there. In Mean Machine, Michelle is such a sweet mother, down on her luck, barely hanging in there. My heart went out to her. After Mason finds out about Michelle’s (and her daughter’s) situation, he springs right into action like the good man he is. He even feels like he let them down for not knowing about their struggles sooner! What a guy!

I absolutely adored this story! I love Mason’s multi-faceted persona: Mean and gritty, dirty and sexy, sweet and kind. He and Michelle are hot, hot, hot with their set-the-sheets-on-fire chemistry! Poor Mason, he actually tried to stay away from Michelle, but his heart was already hers! Keep writing Joanna Blake!! I’m in love with your stories!

If you liked Mason as a secondary character in Cuffed, you are going to love him in his own story. He may look and act like a mean and rough MC member when he has to but I love how he is able to show the softer, caring side when it is needed. And Michelle is the perfect match for him. They may both have their own problems but I really enjoyed how they helped each other to overcome them. I am looking forward to reading Cain’s story and also finding out what happens next.

The correct reading order is Cuffed, then Mean Machine. The story has a conclusion at the end, but all issues are not completely resolved and continue into the next book.
This was such an awesome book. I really liked Mason in Cuffed, and was so glad his story was next. Hes not as controlling as Conner, but still demanding with a lot more tenderness.
I once again could not give a full five star rating. The editing errors are still there and I was disappointed that all issues were not resolved at the end. We get a happily ever after, but things continue into the next book.
Mason has so much heart and kindness, but feels undeserving of anything good. Michelle has lacked kindness in her life, but longs for it. We get a little closer view inside the motorcycle club, but its still not like most MC books. We are still mostly on the outside looking in. The next book will focus on Cain the MCs Prez, so I think we will be getting a closer look at the goings on. Once again we have an alpha male that is not a manwhore. Love books like this. Looks to be a theme for this series.

How do you put in to words how much you love Mason in this story? Not only that but you fall in love with Michelle and Paton as well and then you add in characters like Cass, Conner, Cain, Shane and Shorty and everything is perfect. The book was a start of something fabulous and I cant wait for more books to come. Reading the story and having the heartbreaking tale of Michelle and Paton’s background makes you want to do as Mason has done and just reach right in and take care of them. Mason is a caregiver, no doubt. He may come from the biker gang, he may be gruff but he is marvelous in way that touches your heart at how he wants to care for those who need it and the people he loves. Michelle is a mother through and through giving up her own needs to do everything for her child. These two are magic and perfect together forming their mother daughter unit which grabs Mason by the heart and holds on for dear life. Something scary and dangerous is lurking around and it time to protect those you love not only for Mason but for Conner and Cain as well. I cant wait to see how all these men work to bring safety and a killer to his knees. It is a story of heartbreak,suspense, love, some laughter and all out amazing. Thanks for the new book, love it!

Nothing better than a well written love story. The way this book was written and the way this story was told was so sugary sweet I couldn’t help but smile while reading. I’m guessing the author plans to address the subject of the serial killer in future books which was a refreshing surprise to have the hea ending with a to be continued feel to it. Well done I will continue to read this series!!
