You Are The Rock Star

My 2nd trip through You are the Rockstar was even better than the first. Throughout the 138 pages, there are stories, advise, and exercises that remind us that we CAN be the rockstars of our own lives. Listen, I cant really complain too much about where Im at in life BUT, (and this is big) I been on autopilot for a long long time. Ive got a great family and a successful career however, I havent always been very intentional about where I was goin or what I was doing. Honestly, I still lean on the confidence I gained when I participated in things like drama and band in High school… and here I am 30 years later. What this book has done is light that fire again…there are so many points that are familiar or relatable that it makes me reflect on the glory days of past success. Theres a lot of greatness in us just waiting to shine. Regardless if you are in high school, college, still trying to figure out your purpose, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, or an actual rockstar, there are so many truths in the book, I know you will take something away. You Are The Rockstar will quickly become my most gifted book. Great stuff Woody!!!

If you knew the author you\’d quickly realize how grounded and grateful he is regarding his life and career. He is passionate about his bass playing, his band, and the direction of his life. This is all laid out in the book, and the title along is what we all need. We are all Rock Stars, we just have to believe it and show it. If you ever wondered what your status is in the world, ready Woody\’s book and it will change one or more parts of your life! Then listen to Our Last Night and be blown away!

I love this book. I am not normally one for self help type books, but I had to buy this as Our Last Night is my favorite band. It was really well written and, I felt, relatable. A lot of self help books compare everything to sports, which I have never done and I had a hard time applying the points made to my own life…but even though I am not a musician, he was able to make the points applicable to me.
