I really like the Cedar Cove series. I am quite a few books in at the time of writing this review. I have come to love and care about the characters. The books move at a steady pace so you don’t get bored and each book utilizes the same characters from a small town while adding a new character or two each book. While the characters are the same in each book, the focus on which character/s the story is on changes with each one. Reading makes you feel familiar and cozy.
The one problem is that they do get very predictable. There is a new love story in almost every book and they all fall in love and it happens the same way. They either hate eachother or are scared to death of love, fight fight fight, then something happens and without even dating they decide to get married. At first it was sweet but after it happens over and over multiple times per book it gets repetitive.
Still I will keep reading because I love the cozy, comforting feel of the books and there is a bit of a mystery in most of them.

1022 Evergreen Place audiobook in series Cedar Cove
Debbie Macomber is one of my all time favorite authors! HOWEVER I was so disappointed in this Audio Book as it was like they put 4 books together and only finished 1 one them. I remembered the story lines, but since it had been quite sometime since I read them I was enjoying listening to them. It was like I was 3/4 of the way through 3 of the story lines, and the book/CD came to an end. No conclusions. I would love to reread or buy the CD’s for the other stories on this CD but haven’t a clue what the titles were. VERY DISAPPOINTING Really left me hanging.

Audiobook 1022 Evergreen Place by Cedar Cove
It is like you live in Cedar Cove and really get to know and love the people there. Each one has a story to tell. No one’s life is perfect, but that adds to the character depth and charm of Cedar Cove. You get so involved with their lives, you have to go onto the next book, to see how they make out. Love Debbie Maconbers way of telling her stories…..She is so true to life.

Audio 1022 Evergreen Place narrated by Sandra Burr
Whenever I got a bit weary of my mysteries and thrillers, I always knew that I could go to Cedar Cove where the realities of the world never seem to invade. There, life is sweet and tranquil and, although faced with the problems that go with life in this world, there never seems to be a problem without a solution or a person without love. These stories have always warmed my heart and transported me into utopia for a few short hours.
After saying that, I must say that when I purchase a book I expect it to have a beginning and an end. This book just abruptly stopped, the implication being that If I want to know the end, I need to buy the next book. Foul ball!!!! I guess I
really expected more from this author than the rip-off that this obviously is. I think that Cedar Cove has worn out it’s interest, at least for this reader!!!
This was another fast moving story that came to an end to fast. I am really enjoying this Cedar Cove Series. I can hardly wait to.read the next book. I have to stop for a few hours to rest my eyes. I also have to join my family and some church friends for a cookout.we did not celebrate the 4th yesterday because we had church last night. I really like to read but we have to make sure we do the most important things in life first. This series has a lot of different characters in it and it really makes the books very interesting. There is nothing like happy endings to make reading worth while, to bad real life can’t be like that for everyone.

This was a good read and easy; however, I did get tired of switching between the different families. What I wished had happened was that I had read this in order….I read it AFTER the Yacoma book which tied up the loose ends created in this book. I still don’t care for the Dad who let his daughter manipulate him…it was too much about what he wanted and not thinking about his wife and how she felt….he is controlling by his actions but couldn’t seem to control his 12 year old daughter. I have seen this type of person before and I felt sorry for him for his wife dying and trying to be everything to his daughter; but when he did fall in love with the hairdresser then it was all about him and his needs. But all the other family interactions and their stories I really like and do like reading Debbie Macomber’s books.
