I loved this book. The whole story grabbed me and pulled me in right from the first page, and wouldn’t let go. There’s so much mystery and intrigue in this book to keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. I never saw the twists and turns, until they hit you right in the face. And I never would have expected the killer to be who it was, either. NEVER!!!
I felt for Bob and the other men who were suffering from what happened so many years ago. I lived during the Vietnam era, so I especially liked the four characters involved in the war. Vietnamese women and children also killed our troops and many villages were used to destroy Americans. It is sad when women and children are killed, but what is even more sad, is when those same people would put a hand grenade in their babies diapers and throw them at our soldiers. It wasn’t the nicest of times, but sadly sometimes our soldiers had to do, what they had to do to survive. And the worst of all; was that when they came home from war—instead of getting support from the American people—they were taunted and treated like garbage. So yes; I felt so bad for anyone who had to go through that.

44 Cranberry Point audiobook in series Cedar Cove
Love the series but seemed like the review of the characters and who they were and how they were related to each other and what had previously happened in past books took up too much of the beginning of the story of this book. If you are reading this book as a part of the series, that much review shouldn’t be necessary, especially with so many characters.
I can only give this book three stars. And after reading four books in this series, I have decided that I do not like the series enough to continue reading any more of them. I especially did not like the way Debbie dragged out the mystery surrounding the Viet Nam vets and what they did during the war, etc. That was a real turn-off for me, maybe because it was my generation of guys who fought and died in that war.
At any rate, I am saying goodbye to this series. I have to say I enjoyed the TV series much more than the books. And I think that even the TV version was too boring for viewers, since it was canceled in December 2015, after just 3 seasons and a total of 36 episodes altogether.

Audiobook 44 Cranberry Point Lane by Cedar Cove
This is one of several in a series. I have read most of them and enjoyed each one. It is not a requirement to read them all to enjoy any of the books. In this story Jack and Olivia return from their honeymoon to Cedar Grove and find the town in an uproar. Bob and Peggy who own a bed and breakfast are in the middle of solving a mystery of Max Russell who died in one of their rooms. Bob and Max knew each other in Viet Nam and the coroner has decided that Max was poisoned. There are several surprises as some new couples are formed and another wedding is planned. This series is pretty mild as some romance stories go but not completely Christian

Audio 44 Cranberry Point narrated by Sandra Burr
I’m reading the series of about 12 books. I’m right in the middle of the story and I like how the author writes, although sometimes I think she can get to the point somewhat faster. I chose “predictable” in reference to the plot because after reading 6 books, the story-telling plots follow the same path and one can figure out how things will turn out. I’m hoping there is a twist somewhere in the remaining stories that will make things a bit harder to
I didn’t realize until I got into the book that I had seen the movie. I liked following the different characters. Most of the incidents showed typical human behavior and reactions. Some understandable. Some adolescent. I lived during the Vietnam era, so I especially liked the four characters involved in the war. Vietnamese women and children also killed our troops and many villages were used to destroy Americans. It is sad when women and children are killed. I was glad that the entire book was not about this even though it was the strong undercurrent. I would be interested in reading about these characters again.

It’s been a while since I read a book as dull as this one. It is a bunch of loosely tied silly romances and minor squabbles between couples. Of course, it all ends happily ever after. The mystery that was supposedly at the heart of book was pitifully anti climatic. The minor puzzle, regarding g who sent the mysterious postcards was left hanging. I’m not even slightly interested, so I won’t be buying the next book.
I listened/read this book on my kindle.
I have read books by this author before and enjoyed them, but I found this one to be less satisfying. There were so many couples to keep track of that sometimes I got confused. This may in part be because I was listening while I was driving rather than sitting and reading the actual book. I probably would not rush to read another of this series.
