Puppy Love (Career Men #2) audiobook free
I found the first half or so of the story repetitive as Coop and Harland have the same thoughts and actions over and over again with no sign of an honest conversation between them. It picked up towards the end, but this frankly felt tedious to listen to. The performance was okay, though I noticed instances where the voices weren’t consistent, pronunciation was off, or the inflection didn’t seem right. It was entertaining enough to have playing while I did other things, but this is one I probably won’t listen to again.

As much as this should have been perfect for me, it just didn\’t get there. I spent too much time outside of the story anguishing between the two MC\’s and how one was so clueless and the other was such an egomanic. It kept me engaged because I was eagerly awaiting the moment they would just give in and tell the truth. All in all, it entertained me. I probably wouldn\’t listen again, though.

Audiobook Puppy Love (Career Men #2) by Austin Bates Jill Haven
Friends to lovers who couldn’t be more clueless I liked this story but at times found Harland and Coop a bit frustrating. How can they be so blind? How can they smell pheromones and other things about each other, but not the attraction? There was a roller coaster of emotions for the two best friends basically the entire story. Harland and Coop had great chemistry, just lacked communication. Aleks Esquire did a decent job. He changes the voices for each character, though they weren’t always consistent.

Ok so its an excruciatingly slow burn friends to lovers with a lot of angst and clueless MCs. There\’s also a few different parts I felt were left unresolved like the first of the series and some scenes that just don\’t make sense or seem to have a purpose. I don\’t know if it\’s deliberate for future stories but it\’s just a personal annoyance of mine. Overall I enjoyed the narration and thought it was done well.

Best friends to lovers with loads of angst that could have been resolved if these fully grown adults had just talked about what they wanted at any point in their 30 someodd years of friendship. I really enjoyed the parts about their jobs though, the veterinary tidbits were fun and interesting and other than lack of communication it was a cute story set in a cute town.
