This is the second book in this amazing Ice series with Peter, a Committee operative and known as the ice man actually falling in love with Genevieve, a fiesty lawyer that he broke all the rules and orders to protect. This was an action packed thriller as the Committee stopped a madman, Harry Van Dorn, before he could follow through with his unthinkable plans to cause havoc throughout the world. He was pure evil and Genevieve actually killed him in the end as Peter lay wounded on the ground from Harry’s gun. The Committee saw to it that Peter and Genny got their happily ever after in the end. Peter could no longer work in the field because of his permanent limp but he did not really care because he got to live a normal life which he never expected to do with the love of his life . This was a fantastic suspenseful romance and I highly recommend this series and cannot wait to read the next release

*A chilling and excellent romantic suspense, by bestselling author Anne Stuart, in book 2 of her superb “Ice” series. If you haven’t read these first two books, than I recommend that you start now because their that good and definetly must reads reads!……Sent by her law firm regarding some legal forms to be signed by the infamous philanthropist and billionaire Harry Van Dorn , attorney Genevieve Spenser had no idea that her life was about to take a ninety degree turn. Unbeknownst to her and unaware of the playboy’s sick and vicious side, Genevieve, was clueless as Harry already planned to abuse her while making her his sex toy for the entire night. However, little did she know, it would take one of the billionaire’s employees to change the course of everything. Working undercover as Harry’s personal assistant for several months, secret operative Peter Jensen tried to conceal his shock at the Manhattan lawyer’s unexpected arrival had just foiled all his plans. Assigned to gather all critical information as he could on Harry’s reign of terror campaign, the “Rule of Seven” and in order to accomplish what he needed to know, he pretended to be the payboy’s personal assistant throughout the duration eventually killing him once the job was completed. Known to his enemies as the “Iceman,Peter had never failed a mission and he carried out each job with a required precision including even murder with ice in his veins but he never murdered an innocent before and with miss Spenser’s unexpected arrival, Peter had to decide whether to save her from the evil clutches of the sick and twisted mind of the billionaire or kill her as collateral damage.Realizing she was never going to get Harry’s signature on those forms, Genevieve ‘s sixth sense was telling her that trouble was brewing but having no proof at all, she knew without a doubt , it had everything to do with the gorgeous personal assistant. Why? Who was he really? Having a stubborn strea plus a very bad temper, Genevieve not only planned to escape from the extravagant ship , instead, she found herself waking up in a very dangerous situation just because she happened to walk into something by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, fate was about to strike all those concerned when Peter’s plan backfires causing distrust, betrayal and murder when a sadistic traitor was carrying out his own deadly agenda. Never believing in the existence of love or having any type of long-term relationship with any woman, Peter couldn’t help but admire Genevieve for her stubborness, sarcasm and her strong will to survive but when destiny changes everything bringing overdue passions and hidden desires to the surface, unexpected human emotions strikes both their hearts while a cold-blooded killer intended to take his vengeance by making Peter and Genevieve his next intended victims!..thank you..

Audiobook Cold As Ice (Ice #2) by Anne Stuart
I read two of Ms. Stuart’s books; this one and Black Ice. I feel conflicted about both. Ms. Stuart is not a great writer. One of the most maddening things she does, which is basic to reader comprehension, is fail to leave a double white space, or asterisks, when changing the point-of-view. I was into the second sentence of a new paragraph before I realized the narrator had changed! She also doesnt set up events very well: usually done by two prior references before a main event. She just decides something is going to happen and does it, which can be jolting to the reader. Because of these and other writing failures, it is hard to develop any emotional attachment to her characters. I never really cared what happened to them.
Despite her lack of writing finesse, Ms. Stuart is a very good story teller, and is able to finesse the interplay between the hero and heroine quite nicely. They are believable and what you expect to find in a romance novel: the broad shouldered alpha male and the succulent female waiting to be molded and revealed. Its worth a read if you like the genre.

Audio Cold As Ice (Ice #2) narrated by Natalie Gold
Did not think this was as good as the ‘hype’. At times it was very repetitive and I found myself skipping through it, not as good as the first book in the ‘Ice’ series.

Not as good as I hoped. Seemed quite repetitive….I felt I was reading the same paragraphs several times.
