Cleo Coyle Does It Again! 5 Star Review.
One of my favorite coffeehouse owners Clare Cosi, is back with another one of her adventures. Only this time Clare is filled with happiness, joy, excitement, over the moon, and busting out at the seams because her favorite man, Mike Quinn has finally presented her with an engagement ring.
While Clare is feeling all this bliss it is short lived due to the fact that Clare is on a new case. Our favorite amateur sleuth is back in action on helping anyway she can to solve a 60 year old mystery.

One thing I love about the Coffehouse Mysteries, isnt just about the love of all things coffee, but I enjoy visiting with Clare, Matt, Madam, the other baristas, and of course Mike. Every time I pick up one of books in this series to read, it makes me feel like Im visiting with old friends. The authors gives you plenty of dialogue which sets this book into a fast pace and the suspense, twists, turns, friendships are all there which keeps the reader entertained as well as makes this an enjoyable read. One thing I did enjoy in the book was trying to figure out what was going to happen next, of course part of the time I was right and the other half I was wrong, but it kept me glued to finding out what happened.

If youve never read a book in this series, I do suggest you make it a priority to start. These are well worth and quick reads. The other may throw several sub stories in and you might think youre going to get confused, but know that she doesnt leave you hanging and all of it works itself out with many aha moments.

Dead Cold Brew audiobook in series The Coffeehouse Mysteries “

Cleo Coyle never disappoints. She writes with wit and humor, style and grace. Her characters grow in each new book, adding layers of interest just like a person you would know in reality. This makes her stories even more engaging and addictive. You finish one book and can’t wait for the next to find out what the cast of lively characters is going to do next, how they will change and grow and what they will learn. And what more inventive ways with “the Coffee Lady” find to get into and out of trouble! For anyone who wants to read an author who knows her way around story telling, character development and excellent writing technique, this series is for you. This particular book had many mysteries and some obvious (to the reader who knew everything) and some surprising outcomes. You could read this book alone, but I think you would enjoy it slightly more if you read the entire series.

Dead Cold Brew audiobook by : Cleo Coyle

I loved this book!! I waited a year for this last edition of the Coffeehouse Mysteries, and I was not disappointed!! I loved every minute of it. The characters are vivid and complex, and I find myself believing that they are real! They totally come to life for me. The plot was complex with many a twist, and I couldn’t guess to the end who the bad guys were.
There is nothing better on a cold day (or even a warm day for that matter), then to sit on a comfortable chair, with a cup of good coffee and read these coffee house mysteries! I have loved every single one of them, and totally enjoyed this last one, too!

Thank you Cleo Coyle for being such an amazing writer!

Dead Cold Brew audio narrated by Rebecca Gibel

I love the Coffeehouse mysteries. Clare Cosi is back again. Every installment reads like I am right there in New York City. The Villiage Blend has become a “real” place even though it is imaginary. Every time one of these books come out I have to get it. I let this one sit on the shelf because I didn’t want it to end. It was very fast paced. With little chapters, it made me feel like I was getting more accomplished. With a glimpse at the Diamond District of New York, and Coffee Diamonds at the heart of the mystery. Also the fact that NYPD police were in danger made this almost modern, but yet had a light twist with Panther Man.

This is one of the rare ‘cozy’ series I enjoy (Wisteria Tea Room is another, btw) as normally I prefer hardcore mysteries. I loved the extensive coffee lore in the earlier books in this series, but unfortunately these more recent books have had much less. The culinary focus is now more on Clare’s overall cooking skills as she whips up meals out of hardly any ingredients – clever, but not much to do with coffee.

The main characters continue – no tragedies here! – and happily Clare’s daughter has matured out of the whiny stage of Headstrong Young Adult. In fact, it’s an improvement when she isn’t around at all. Her would-be fiance, hated by her father Matt, is a more interesting character by far.

Clare’s engagement has everyone excited but of course, murder gets in the way. Clare’s ability to work with the cops and offer deductive reasoning once again help solve the case. Yes, it’s fluff and not really believable, but charming nonetheless. I’ve been binge-reading the books, having come late the series, and have ‘enjoyed the ride’. Will look forward to finishing Bk 17, and then having to wait until the end of 2019 for #18!
