Book one was about time travel in which Claire after seeing the horrors of the world war came back to reunite with her husband but instead, she was shifted to the 18th century. During her latest honeymoon trip, she touched some strange object which landed her in Scottish warriors of the 18th century. Life changed for her abruptly and she did what she had to do to survive i.e got married to the strongest warrior of the clan. Claire thought that she had seen fights during the World War but these Scottish fights are different and more barbaric.

In form of James Fraser, the woman from the future found true love. She quickly left the thought of returning in time to her future husband. Rather she gets worried about the fate of her new lover who has ignited the feelings in his heart which no one has ever done before. Giving birth to a child was a feeling like none other, after the birth of her daughter the war nurse became more worried about the fate of the Scottish warriors.
Before destruction Claire decides to tell her daughter everything about her time travel. Diana Gabaldon from Outlander had a plan to take the series further. Some people doubted that the second book would not be of that much fun but Diana proves all of them wrong here. Davina Porter at first tried to give Scottish style in the narration which didn’t work properly this in the later section the narrator comes to the original tone. The third part will conclude the love affair of the woman from the future and will seal her fate finally.
