Robinson had a great deal of help from actual submariners and made this sequel another page-turner. Some of it bordered on far-fetched when it came to how the bad guys capture the sub, but it was still interesting to read and wonder about. It was a bit tedious in a couple places, and thus the 4 instead of 5 stars, but still a good read. I won\’t reveal the ending, but it has me ready to take on the next sequel to learn where Robinson will take the continuing characters.

H.M.S. Unseen audiobook in series Admiral Arnold Morgan
Several years ago, I read the seven books in this series, and enjoyed them all. Recently, I had the urge to do so again, and am now on the fourth book of the original seven. H.M.S. Unseen is the third book, and I have enjoyed it very much. I particularly like military novels, and this series is one of the best, as it is about submarines, and being former U.S. Navy, I can appreciate these kind of novels. I would have rated this with five stars, except for one thing. I believe detail is necessary for both plot and character development, however in the case of this book I believe there is just to much detail, and it lasts so long on some occasions, that it takes away from the book for a time. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the rest of the series. Ken P. Canton, Ga.

The blue & white package arrived with a tear in the side and the package was empty! I would like the book replaced at no cost to me.

I have read most of Patrick Robinson\’s books and they are all well constructed, well thought out and most of all, intelligent. They are also scarily believable. They should be required reading for every American administration and british parliament. The main character, Ben, is the ultimate professional, planning for every possibility, always able to outwit his enemies and determined to kill the Great Satan. He is ice-cold, but underneath the coldness, there is a sense of longing, that with a different upbringing, his life could have been very different. He is contrasted with the irascible but loveable american admiral who is equally ruthless in his determination to extinguish his enemies. Together they do battle and it mmakes a page turning, read until your eyes hurt, sort of book. Patrick Robinson, long may you continue writing.
