Home World is a science fiction fantasy novel. It is the sixth chapter of the Undying Mercenaries novel series. The narration of this chapter is done by Mark Boyett. This is one of the finest things that happened with this Undying Mercenaries series. He is the perfect voice for the characters and his performance standout throughout the series, including the Home World novel.

The Earth is invaded completely by an alien force of the rival empire. The legion of James McGill must be able to defend the Home World. There were some complex plans associated with the top brass. However, nothing of the sort mattered at all to James McGill. He chooses his very own special plan to handle the developing situation. He traveled to the star systems where no human being has ever traveled before. A technological edge was searched by him to there to win over his enemies. He needs to keep a check on time as well or before it gets too late. He unleashed many new terrors along the way. He triggered one of the largest battles ever in the history of mankind.
The writing by Larson in this novel is not outstanding but still, it was good enough. The storyline of this military science fiction was somewhat captivating and it will make a happy listen for the audience. The characters have matured quite well coming to this chapter.
