Wow! Yet another really great story from a master storyteller. If you are reading this because you wonder if this will be a good read, trust me and just buy it. McFarlane is really that good. This is an exquisite addition that nicely pulls a number of threads together and opens the door for a whole new set of stories and headaches for the compelling ensemble cast of characters that McFarlane has created for us. We get to see even more character development and complexity that real life adds here that fits in nicely with McFarlane’s story telling style. There’s plenty of action and lots of surprises, even when you think you know what’s going to happen, it happens with a nuance that brings a grin to my face and teasing from my wife as I’m reading. What I also like are the very realistic down times while we are waiting for the next conflict that we know is coming. McFarlane builds tension in such a delight way while he uses it to help us appreciate the characters that he clearly cares about deeply, even when they are willing to sacrifice everything for what they believe. As a result, *we* really care about them too!

Judgment of the Bold audiobook in series Privateer Tales
I mean, in all honesty… if you haven’t read any of his books – you need to get yourself together and buy Privateer Tales ASAP. That being said, since you have read his other books, just expect more of the same.
Awesome character development, excellent action/adventure, hilarious snippets of good references and a whole lot of surprises.
If you need me to be more specific: this guy writes books to make you fall in love, every single one of the main characters, which are several by the way, are unique and they will remind you of someone you know. Events unfold naturally, they lead to decisions which are unexpected and when expected (for whatever reason) you just cant stop laughing and cheering them on. There are many space opera/saga books out there but there is none that comes close to the Privateer Tales. You can’t help but read through quickly and passionately; he really is that good.
Now that you’ve read this bunch of letters, go and find yourself the first book and start… or go to where you last left off, cause you missing out!

Audiobook Judgment of the Bold by Jamie McFarlane
Fury of the Bold brings to conclusion the Bold trilogy in epic fashion. Jamie McFarlane wraps up the series with another great read. The Loose Nuts gang continues on their space adventures, and the telling will keep you turning the pages!
In this latest tale we meet more new sentient species, and watch as the coalition that Loose Nuts has formed continue to battle the Kroerack and attempt to track them back to their home planet. The book is action packed, and will grab your attention and hold it. (Okay, just one more chapter then Ill go to bed. Yeah, right!)
I cant recommend the Privateer Tales series strongly enough. It is a well written, entertaining set of books that you will be happy you picked up.

Audio Judgment of the Bold narrated by Mikael Naramore
Loved this book! Liam, Tabby and crew suffer great losses in this book while struggling to once again save the universe. Action packed adventures are non-stop and it seems like things are hopeless. New aliens and crew are introduced and new alliances forged. I found myself liking Tabby more after her willingness to make a great sacrifice. Oh and there is a cat (Filbert) sighting! Really liked the conclusion. Highly recommend this book and the entire series of Privateer Tales.

I really like what Jamie McFarlane did with this trilogy extending the adventures of of the Loose Nuts gang. This was a good but not great ending to the trilogy. I feel that the ending was a bit rushed and could of used another 100 pages or so. Even better would have been to add a fourth (or fifth) book. As I said I I like and respect what McFarlane attempts here and I love a good trilogy. I just feel this last book was more of a walk-off single instead of the grand slam that the series was building towards.
