Hush

This book is an emotional rollercoaster with absolute edge of your seat suspense. It will keep you guessing until the very end, while also making you reflect on the past. An extremely unique perspective on the judicial system, and a visceral look at how it and society defined a life.

Tom is such a heartbreaking character. I don’t know that I’ve ever cried so hard for a characters history. Mike is the rock, steadfast in his devotion. He has his moments, but mostly he’s the glue putting Tom’s heart back together. An amazing cast of well developed secondary characters that you will love and love to hate. The perfect amount of cuteness and comedic relief from a certain four legged ruler of Tom.

The attention to detail and utter perfection is what Tal delivers on every book. Honestly I’m running out of words to describe the genius of Tal Bauer. Just know that you do not want to miss this book and I would give it 10 stars if I could. I can’t wait to read it again!!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how the characters were developed as individuals and as a couple with lots of interactions and conversation, long before they ever got together. I loved how Tom’s identity evolved. He’s just a couple years older than I, so I could really identify with his age and the events when he was coming of age. I hope we get to see a book featuring Kris….he was a complex character that I’d like to see more of. Etta Mae is a keeper. And I also liked how it was long enough that I could savor it. I’m such a quick reader, it’s nice to not finish a book in 2 hours. Sure there were a couple of things that were a little repetitive and a couple of misused words, but they didn’t take away from the story. This is a winner for me.

I wish I could have given this book 10 stars. Tail Bauer is a new author to me but will be one I will automatically buy. This story is exciting, sweet, full of detail, and a story that keeps you interested throughout the whole book. The main characters are easy to fall in love with and the story keeps you cheering them on til the end. I highly recommend this book if you want a love story and an action story all in one!!!

Tal has the unique ability of writing a story that suck you into it and never want to let you go. The world building, plot, the thriller, drama, romance and intrigue are so amazingly well done that everything happening in the book could be possible. Or is already possible? Both main characters are as opposite as they could be. Not Only because Mike it’s a US marshal or Tom is a Federal judge. It’s more than Tom it’s a very closeted timid gay man and Mike it’s a all out loud gay man but also both have a very strict forward moral compass. Both complemented each other in a very realistic and Beautiful way. All the secondary character were well crafted and didn’t let you at speculate who the bad guy truly was or what was going on. That doesn’t mean that all the puzzle pieces weren’t there! If the author decides to do a follow up book based on someone in this book, I wish it would be about Chris. He was a hoot and a total mystery! So grab a copy and read it, you won’t be disappointed. Happy reading!

Hush is a sensational novel that will literally have you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next. To me, it’s amazing to see such strong characters represent the LGBT+ community.

This novel starts off like a love story- boy meets boy, after much too-ing and fro-ing boy and boy admit their feeling and begin dating. It’s at this point the story really picks up! I’m not going to spoil it because you really should go in blind. The remainder of the novel is full of suspense and intrigue, you are kept wondering how the mystery will unfold. In true Tal Bauer style, it’s not until the very last pages that everything is finally revealed.

Read this novel, easily one of my top 10 so far this year!
